ok, starting a new 20 pound challenge today. 500 cal cardio+30 min of weight training daily, still on my high protein/low carb jawn, juice fast on Sundays. #curacaoskinny

Thinking of trying one of those meal replacement shakes for breakfast with a little whey for added protein.... My friend trying to get me on Herbalife but I checked it has way too much sugar.

Found out this morning you haven't really worked out until you work out with ex-cons. These ninjas must have thought they still on the rec yard. Shout out to Boosty Collins and ParliamentFunkadelic for good workout music though.

um, why not just throw the scale? *ducks lamp* lol. Furniture's bigger and louder. I'm in an interesting place where I want to monitor my weight loss, but I don't want to be a slave to the number on the scale. Especially since with exercise (as opposed to dieting) the number can fluctuate daily for a variety of reasons. Keeping this in mind, I try not to get discouraged when I don't show significant loss over a couple days. YET, I don't want to end up in my 2010 situation: straight killing myself in the gym, sore daily, driving myself crazy only at the end of 5 months to have lost no weight whatsoever. I didn't notice that I wasn't losing because I didn't want to deal with the scale. I told myself "oh, you're probably gaining muscle" or "it's really all about inches." It turned out that neither of those were necessarily true. I feel like I wasted a lot of time and money in that endeavor.

Juice fasting today. Carb Overload yesterday! I haven't had bread, crackers, sugar rice or potatoes in more than a month and yesterday I decided to crush a LOAF of bruschetta. Not the least bit guilty, lol...it was soooo good! Looking forward to Zumba tonight!

nope. no ma'am. it was raining to bad to go outside and running in my place is an absolute no. We played board games. I let them help me with dinner. Then we watched movies before I gave them baths and put them to bed.

ya'll...I did Zumba for the first time last night. Why must that joint be an HOUR?! Then at the end, the instructor was like "you wanna do one more?!" and these jawns in the class was like "YEEEAAAHHH!! One more!!" I mean, I did it. Cause I ain't wanna demonstrate no b*tchazzness. But it was under protest. For real.

As for diet-- this is my 2nd day of eating "raw." I did a lil juice fast yesterday to kinda balance out my weekend antics. Didn't really intend to carry it on for another day, but I felt fine last night so I said "what they hey." I had juice for breakfast, but cranked some baby carrots, broccoli and organic hummus for lunch. I made ceviche before bed. It should be ready by dinnertime. My energy was surprisingly high yesterday for someone who consumed almost NO protein (save for a handful of almonds after work).

The streets tell me that Bikini Body challenge is not to be effed with. Think I'mma give it a try next week. Gotta work off several thousand calories worth of boozy ice cream and cupcakes (and flying biscuits, and pizza, and chicken & waffles) from the weekend.

picked up an extra Zumba class during the week. racked up on shrinkwrap ( think industrial siran wrap) for my regular workouts. I have my homie from out on the production floor come to my office and wrap me up before I leave since I go to the gym after work. If anyone wass to walk in the door while he was in there thery would swear something sexual was going on between us. LOL
