yeah, I'm not tripping too hard. Normally, I avoid the scale til I know I have a few solid days of "act right" under my belt. I just wanted to see what an indulgent weekend can do, so I hopped on this morning. All I could do was laugh. I don't regret any of the fun I had this weekend!

Soon, I'll be ready to focus on vitamins and supplements. As it stands, I take a multivitamin supplement every day. I think I do pretty well with getting vitamins in my food also (I'm a religious fruit/veggie eater). When I remember, I might take a little B-12 after lunch to help me get a second wind. I'm thinking there's more I can do to give myself more energy to help power through my workouts.

Have any of yall every seen a "strong" vegan/vegetarian? That's a serious question. Somebody asked me that question and I really couldn't provide an answer.

I had to google to find this. I gues sthe bodybuilder would qualify but no, vegan/vegetarian and "strong" do not naturally go together.
Successful vegan and vegetarian sportsmen include, Robert Parish (one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history), Edwin Moses (two-time Olympic gold medalist in hurdles), Mac Danzig (martial arts champion), Keith Holmes (boxing champion), Bill Pearl (professional bodybuilder and four-time “Mr. Universe”) and Desmond Howard (Heisman trophy winner and Super Bowl MVP).

Seen this one guy lose all his strength and mass because he wasn't to become a vegetarian. He just kept getting smaller and smaller by the month. Finally I suggested (after he asked) he go 'vegetarian' a couples days out the week instead of being a straight up vegetarian. Certain things just don't fit certain lifestyles...regardless of how "good" it is.

Too many ancillary factors affect what the scale says...that's why I rarely get caught up in weight and don't pay attention to minor fluctuations. And if I do get on the scale, it's once a week (at most), and I try to keep as many factors as possible consistent (same day of the week, time of day, scale, etc). But then, you know this already... , so #carryon Not even gonna lie. I gained 4 pounds over the weekend. I ate like a fool, I know (Nachos on Sat, Champagne Brunch on Sun) but 4 pounds doe? LOL. Ok, me and this scale are just going to have to agree to disagree today.
Reign, how 'bout a juice fast? You can switch up the ingredients based on the benefits you're trying to achieve. Plus you can drink water and tea and eat raw fruits and veggies. 5 days should be just enough time to get you clean as a whistle!
If you don't have a juicer, consider a "raw" diet. I like those a lot. For breakfast, you might have a nice fruit & yogurt smoothie. For lunch, some some carrots w/hummus and a bowl of gazpacho. For Dinner, a healthy serving of ceviche.

Step and Zumba tonight. I barely made it last time. Let's see if I've built up some stamina.
(probably not, so I'll be sure to grab a mat to pass out on once we're done.)

Ill purchase a juicer this weekend. I'm nervous about working out when I'm basically starving myself... Adjust your mindset. You'll still be getting all your vitamins, minerals, fiber, a healthy amount of carbohydrates and even some protein. The only thing you'll need to supplement is your protein. I don't really dig protein shakes, but I'll grab a handful of nuts, a couple scoops of hummus, dip my celery in some peanut butter or have a glass of soymilk in order to get it in. You won't be starving yourself at all, but merely making your diet inhospitable to the hidden sodium, fats and processed sugars that are in cooked food. You also expose yourself to the beneficial enzymes and vitamins that you would ordinarily lose in the cooking process.

so I ran a couple miles last night to try to loosen up my muscles. That, plus 30 mins soaking in epsom salts, plyus 3 nights of "sleeping it off" FINALLY made me feel able to walk. I'm not effin w/them kettlebells again for another several days.

my doctor tells me I'm losing too much weight too fast. He "encourages" me to slow it down to a steady pace.
