1). In your own words, can you describe the connection between hair and femininity?
2). Do you truly have to use what you've got, to get what you want?
3). Since gender has been used against (and could possibly still be used against you to this day) in your place of employment, are you above using gender to try get you ahead? If not, are there any limits?
4). Have you ever been given an indecent proposal?
5). Do you all have jump-offs like men do?
6). Did you just lie in your answer to question 5?
7). If a man criticizes you or your position, how often (if at all) do you assume it's related more to your gender than your position?
8). What do you think it will take for there to be a female President?
9). How do you feel that would affect your outlook on life (if at all) and the outlook of young girls?
10). How do you all feel about Michelle Obama?

1). In your own words, can you describe the connection between hair and femininity?
Hair can frame your face and bring more attention to parts of your face that you like. And hide other parts. If you think you hair looks good and shiny you feel more like a woman.
2). Do you truly have to use what you've got, to get what you want?
Sometimes mostly in social situations not in business because people will doubt that you are actually good at your job
3). Since gender has been used against (and could possibly still be used against you to this day) in your place of employment, are you above using gender to try get you ahead? If not, are there any limits?
If they have (like some jobs) a special management program for women then I'm not against it because they don'ot include men. I will not sleep with the boss for a promotion.
4). Have you ever been given an indecent proposal?
Yes
5). Do you all have jump-offs like men do?
Yes
6). Did you just lie in your answer to question 5?
No
7). If a man criticizes you or your position, how often (if at all) do you assume it's related more to your gender than your position?
Not often unless he uses specific gender words as part of his main complaint.
8). What do you think it will take for there to be a female President?
Votes and Money
9). How do you feel that would affect your outlook on life (if at all) and the outlook of young girls?
It won't change my outlook
10). How do you all feel about Michelle Obama?
I don't know her so I can't tell you much

1). In your own words, can you describe the connection between hair and femininity?
2). Do you truly have to use what you've got, to get what you want? if you mean physically, i don't think so. however there's nothing wrong with using intelligence, charm, and the art of gentle persuasion
3). Since gender has been used against (and could possibly still be used against you to this day) in your place of employment, are you above using gender to try get you ahead? If not, are there any limits?
that wouldn't help me at all. these guys still think women belong eith in the kitchen or the secretary pool
4). Have you ever been given an indecent proposal?
Yes
5). Do you all have jump-offs like men do?
some do
6). Did you just lie in your answer to question 5?
no
7). If a man criticizes you or your position, how often (if at all) do you assume it's related more to your gender than your position?
only if he makes it gender specific. at work, this is often the case
8). What do you think it will take for there to be a female President?
for people to to get over a woman "telling them what to do"
9). How do you feel that would affect your outlook on life (if at all) and the outlook of young girls?
some may feel a bit more empowered. i just want somebody to get the job done right

What are some examples of gender specific words that someone might use in a criticism of you that might make you believe the criticism IS more based on gender than actuality?

What are some examples of gender specific words that someone might use in a criticism of you that might make you believe the criticism IS more based on gender than actuality? i don't necessarily have certain words, but when they say something like, "I tell you what, little lady. Why don't you just stay here and let us big boys handle this. We'll bring you back a pretty little report to type up later." That irks the hell out of me. Or when I get a contract that requires more physical, than mental abilities, they say things like I may not be up to the physical aspect of a job. Or when they stress the SHE and HER. Can't really explain it, but it's there.

hush up, Apil. Either ask some questions or lurk in silence. Why do women want men to be respectful towards them?

1). In your own words, can you describe the connection between hair and femininity? The common belief is that long hair = femininity and short hair = masculinity.
2). Do you truly have to use what you've got, to get what you want? Sometimes...I don't go into a situation thinking "let me ____ so I can get something free or at a discount" but I won't turn anything down.
3). Since gender has been used against (and could possibly still be used against you to this day) in your place of employment, are you above using gender to try get you ahead? If not, are there any limits? Nope. If I know I can get a promotion, scholarship, internship or something because I'm a woman then I'm going to pump that up. That's what minority scholarships are about, LOL. There are limits. I won't be wearing certain outfits to attract that kind of attention or playing the damsel in distress to get something.
4). Have you ever been given an indecent proposal? From some old man I met during my freshman year...ewwww.
5). Do you all have jump-offs like men do? yes.
6). Did you just lie in your answer to question 5?
LOL...NO
7). If a man criticizes you or your position, how often (if at all) do you assume it's related more to your gender than your position? I can't really say how often but I just take into account what they are saying. It's kind of like knowing how someone is trying to play you because of your race...sometimes you can just tell. In grad school I didn't even know gender was a factor until I went to a womens lunch with other female grad students (mostly white) and they began pointing out their issues. I really didn't know why folks acted the way they acted at times...I didn't know if it was my race, gender or both.
8). What do you think it will take for there to be a female President? A blizzard in Atlanta in July, LOL.
9). How do you feel that would affect your outlook on life (if at all) and the outlook of young girls? I would be happy but not the way I felt when Obama became POTUS. I don't think my outlook would change that much. I don't really know about the young girls.
10). How do you all feel about Michelle Obama? She's pretty darn great. She inspired me to start wearing cardigans more and I love that she wears a lot of kitten heels. I also like that she seems to have her own stuff going on. She is his wife but she seems to walk beside him and not a few steps behind (if that makes sense).
