1). Why would you bring your problems to us to merely listen to them? Sometimes we want a sounding board,but truthfully I know I want/hope to get a better perspective from the person I consider my best friend. Especially if I can acknowledge that I'm not objective because I'm in the situation.
1a). Why not go to your girlfriends if you just want someone to listen to you vent? (Serious question, they have more training in this area, and they actually enjoy it, why substitute us in this role?)no. I LOVE SHOES! I have about 5 colors of the exact same flip flop. They just come in so many colors, styles and materials. They are just fun!!

Not really...it's the touching that I don't like.

I’m not sure about this one. I have a good relationship with both my moms. I think that as teenagers, we go through a stage where we feel misunderstood, but that never affect the relationships I have with them. I actually agree. It’s like when a guy asks for a girl’s number and she says, “I have a boyfriend.” That’s like saying if you didn’t have a boyfriend, you’d deal with him. No. Keep it simple. I’m not cheating with him because I don’t cheat. Period. Point blank.

I think this is a really touchy subject. I don’t think he should put his mom before me as in every time she says jump, he jumps no matter what. I feel that if we’re married, our family comes first. Hopefully, his mom is one of those women who were raised to know ho things go.

I live alone. I don’t wait for anyone else to take out the trash. I have my own lil personal garbage men for that. Two little boys in my complex started a business. They collect the trash every day (since it’s just me, I don’t have much) and every Saturday, they clean out the garbage can. (you should see em. They’re so cute with their lil “clients” notebook/ledger and money pouch)

When I was younger hearing certain things made it ok or more ok to go forward with it. Sometimes I knew it was BS but I convinced myself it was ok. Now I'd prefer the truth.

I don't have any kids but with my Mom I feel like we bump heads because I'm not like her. They raised us a certain way and I think they want to see a lot of themselves in us. Also they lived life one way and they think we should be doing the same. We end up being alike in many ways but I'm still me. It's difficult trying to get them to see that my ways don't mean your ways are wrong...we just have different ways and they are both ok. I've seen a similar thing in other mother-daughter relationships. It's hard trying to be you, not be disrespectful, and please her. I could go on for days so I'll stop here, LOL.

Yes...in certain situations when yall are married. If his Mom will always come first he needs to move back home, LOL.

I have no clue. I guess I wouldn't try to be her mother but I wouldn't try to be her friend. I wouldn't force a relationship either.

It's a need to feel protected. If you're 5'1 120lbs then you may not feel so secure with a guy that's 5'4 150 lbs. But if she's standing next to Big Baby then she feels pretty dayum secure and protected, LOL.
3. Why do yall lie to your girlfriends sometimes for sympathy when going through things with ur man?
Because if you tell her the truth she's going to tell you the truth and the truth isn't what you want/need to hear at that moment. You just might need an ear or shoulder at that time instead of salt in your wound.

I'm not that chick...I didn't not grow up like that and it's silly to me. The women I know like that are used to and really believe in gender roles. If you get in the kitchen and cook maybe she feels like it's what you want to do but you're still a man and it's your job to take the trash out and you're still going to take the trash out.

1) Seriously, whats up with the shoes?? I've seen women have damn near 100 pairs of shoes..some of which were only worn once n twice.
Shoes are like art. They reflect the type of woman I am. From wearing Christian Dior's to flip flops, they are fabulous! I personally have 150+ pairs of shoes EASY. And I wear ALL of my shoes. (damn Neiman Marcus for sending me circulars about sales)
2)When you wear revealing outfits that show skin and/or cleavage, do you really get offended when someone looks and/or stare?
I don't get offended but at least say "nice legs"/"alright now" or "you look great in that outfit". Don't just stare and drool every damn where. That's not what a real man does. Say something?!
3) How do you REALLY feel about brother dating outside the race?
I don't really care; Love doesn't see color. Point. Blank. Period.
3a)What about seeing a sister date outside the race? I say to myself "girlfriend got that memo. Get it"! I don't mind... I mean the majority of us aren't 100% African?! Our great grandparents got their "swirl" on and that's how I became who I am.
4)How is that when we first meet you, you always wear thongs, boy-shorts, g-strings, hell sometimes no underwear at all. But ass soon we get into a deep committed relationship, you start wear the underwear that cover thee whole ass.....can a brother see a lil cheek every now and then??
For me, I rarely wear thongs because as I'm getting older, they irritate the hell outta me, so I wear boy shorts or go commando. When my beau is over my house, I usually wear boy shorts and a t-shirt. Hell even when he ain't over I'm wearing a t-shirt and some boy shorts. Only time you see me all covered up is when it's cold.

1). Why would you bring your problems to us to merely listen to them? Because that's part of your job, to be a good listener... or at least pretend like you are. We want to be able to share things in our lives with you.
1a). Why not go to your girlfriends if you just want someone to listen to you vent? (Serious question, they have more training in this area, and they actually enjoy it, why substitute us in this role?) We do. We want your advice (and sometimes sympathy or compassion) too.
2). Why do you ask us, "if we miss you"? If you have to prompt us to get us to say it - doesn't that make it less genuine? Yeah it's kinda wack, but we like to hear it... we're trying to get you to show your sensitive side
3). Are you angry with the black man in general? No, I don't think so. I don't think we're angry in general... at least I'm not. But we do get frustrated when you're not doing your thang like you should be.

7). When you all do cheat in a relationship - why do you do it? I've only ever cheated on one boyfriend at that was in 12th grade. He was cheating on me and it was long distance and I didn't feel so bad. But I've never cheated on a boyfriend since then.

9). Is there a difference to you between a man that's had alot of sexual exploits with women that no one really knows about and a man who has had the same # of exploits, but those exploits are known? No. The only reason I would be concerned is if the women he was dealing with were suspect and questionable or if he left the relationship with a little extra something that he didn't bring to it. LOL
9a). How does (if at all) that affect your view of him? It depends. If he was wild in his younger years, I probably wouldn't mind. If he's out hoeing now I would think, well he's a hoe and not really trustworthy or dedicated to meaningful relationships. I'd probably view him as shallow. But again, it depends on what age this is happening.
10). Have you ever hit/mushed/pushed/shoved your man in anger? No. I don't feel that a man should put his hands on a woman; but I don't think that gives us the right to put our hands on you. If I hit someone, I expect to get hit back, so I don't do it. I've wanted to and almost done it, but never followed through with the pop across the mouth or upside the head.
