There is a part of me that thinks this girl is not like the other. She accepted her rejection and moved on. They should have done so as well. Calling her out the probate was unnecessary. I know it happend at my UG once . Folks left the probate in huge numbers because they thought it was tacky.
Organized bullying can be terrorizing. I think it should be brought to the forefront more often.

You are NOT owed explanation of why you got rejected! GPA and community service are a measuring tool, but it isn't the ONLY measuring tool! We have the right to reject your ass anytime we damn well please because it is at our sole discreation to grant membership. Notice I said "grant" as any membership is a privialege, not a right! Call the graduate advisor and whoever else, it will not change the fact that the chapter gave you a no vote.
And when did she get harassed? Gurl, boo! You saw a car with an AKA tag and thought you would use that too, but nobody did anything to you! You are an epic fail! Talking about you won't confirm and this, that, and the third, well if you thought that is what we were about, why did you go to an Interest Meeting in the first place? Cause whoever wanted you too, not cause you wanted too?
And buahahahahahahahahahaha at the probate! How many times through out the ages have folks got dissed at probates? Gurl, boo, you just looking for any and everything to try and get some ish stirred. In all honesty, I BET you my sorors aren't even paying her any attention IRL and she is doing ANYTHING to get some attention. And I'm loving the graduate advisor and her answer! You wasn't extended membership boo boo, sorry, ROTFL!
If she wants to be harassed, I can make that possible for her cause she AIN'T seen harassment! And walking around in all the pink and green? Seriously? Go change your clothes and sit down somewhere. Maybe all those tight ass clothes you are wearing is effecting the oxygen to your brain and therefore you can't think straight.
One thing is for sure, she has ensured that she will NEVER become a member through that chapter and hopefully NEVER in the org. period. Just pull out that paper if she tries again. Thanks for giving us evidence, dumb ass!

From my unbiased stance it appears they did not move forward. It's my position and I'm sticking to it. The girl was rejected. The rejecter enforced the upperhand. To turn around and use a very precious moment to blast some "useless" chick makes the rejcter look bad from my perspective. I understand the campus code. Those in social power make the rules. Everyone else follows. No one really challenges it because acceptance is key at that level. So I get the backlash this girl received. But as a maturing adult who now lives outside of campus culture I can see how this experience could have not only been humiliating to this young lady, but I can also see how this would continue. I think it's brave that she stood up for herself as long as she is will to deal with certain reprecussion. Also not being able to join just might be the best thing that happened to her. So I'm reading that article and it just sounds iffy. Now I know that people that are rejected or drop or whatever get harassed but to me her situation sounds different. I feel like she has a bigger part to play in this and she isn't 100% a victim.
I also don't see a problem with the chapter not taking a bunch of or all of the high achieving applicants. There is nothing good about having a chapter that's not diverse and it's not productive to have a bunch of chiefs and not enough indians.
But I do agree that spending time dissing someone who didn't make it at YOUR show is wack and silly.

I think there are some things being left out... like VP said, you dont do all this to a GDI for no reason at all... i think there are some underlying issues not being told, something messy is going on... probably got something to do with a dude!
