Lord, I'm trying to be patient and wait for you. I just get so scared. I'm going to believe that you will come through.
Amen

This may sound kind of dumb and it is DEFINITELY random:
Doesn't the bible say God created all living things? And isn't one of the commandments "Thou shall not kill"?
So if you kill an animal,(bug, dog cat) isn't that considered murder or am I thinking to much into this? I asked one person and they said yes.

I'm having a mini freak-out session. My car is behaving like Balaam's donkey. Is He trying to tell me something? God, I hope I figure this out before its too late

Isn't a Jewish Christian an oxymoron? I would like to talk to an adherent of this ideology to understand what its about.

So if you kill an animal,(bug, dog cat) isn't that considered murder or am I thinking to much into this? I asked one person and they said yes. I know this is almost a year late LOL. The commandment says "Thou shall not commit murder." Some would argue there is a difference between killing and murder. Murder has an aire of intent and malice. It's not usually preceived as justice whereas killing could be justified. This is why some believe serving in the armed forces is okay. A solider killing in battle is not the same as a person killing a person for a pair of shoes. To an extent the criminal justice system recognizes this with the varying degrees of "murder" There are religions that teach killing any living thing for any reason is wrong. My random thoughts: Why are we so opposed to being "beaten" with the Word of God but okay with being beaten for the sake of a relationship or organization? Why are we okay with being chastized from our boss but not our ministers? Why is speaking truth preceived as being bitter or judgemental?

Many churches think of "church" only as inside 4 walls having a service? It would be great if more churches brought "church" to the community and met the actual needs of the people as Jesus did.
It would be great if churches stopped having so many services, just for the sake of having a service. Deacon's Day, Deaconess' Day, Steward's Day, Trustee Day, Women's Day, Men's Day, Usher's Day - it's TOO MANY! You don't need a separate Sunday afternoon, Saturday, or weeknight service for every ministry or group within the church.
Churches also need to realize that Pastors and Ministers, especially those who have full-time jobs in addition to serving as Pastors and Ministers, need to have time with their families and friends away from church activities.
Church activity is an idol for some folks.

Because, JJ, Jewish is also an ethnic group. You can be born a Jew and never profess any particular religious faith.

Oh true that. IDK why I never came back in here. My bad, Juicy. Also, many people (including Jesus' apostles) were ethnically Jewish. There's no such thing as ethnically Christian, though. Therefore, if you were born one, then come to profess the other...it all works out! :-)

It does, simply because when I hear Jewish or Judiasm, I first think of it as a religion, not as an ethnicity.

Then are you ready for Muslim Christians?

For me that is different because the name of that religion is Islam where as Muslim is more ethnicity to me.

Am I missing something here?
There can certainly be Arab Christians, Palestinian Christians, Persian Christians... but how can one be a Muslim Christian? A Muslim is an adherant to Islam.
A Muslim is to Islam, what a Christian is to Christianity. Am I missing something here?

@ Damie re: your SAT analogy, English can be kinda imprecise. The word "Muslim," in Arabic encompases a lot of different things, including cultural values which are not mutually exclusive from devout adherence to Christianity.
