For awhile I steered clear of this thread for a variety of reasons... But then last night, at a Resurrection day play that my brother and nephew were in....the writer made a comment that made me think of this board.... He said as Christians, you don't need to attempt to insult people with the Word or beat them over the head with a Bible to prove how "Christian" you are....as Christians, your weapon is to conquer through Love. That's it  |

and by the way this is not the Born again Believer section this is the RELIGION section .....we got Christians voodoo priest masons , shriners and all kinds of cults and occult practitioners posting in here . If you are a born again Christian put on the whole armor of God and strike only with the sword of the spirit if you are not a believer do what you do just remember Jesus cares for you

More random thoughts: Some of my favorite church cliches: "If I couldn't say a word, I'd just wave my hand" (where did that come from? Is it in the Bible?  ). "He sits high and looks low". "Turn to your neighbor and say..." Also: people don't get into Easter suits and outfits like they used to. They might dress the tiny little girls in new dresses, but other than them, folks just wear their regular stuff. I even saw a woman in pants yesterday. I will DEFINITELY wear mine next year. I wear pants most Sundays. |

LOL @ Easter suits NSN...I saw alot of pastels on Sunday. (and pants too)...at my parents church, there were some people in jeans. I can appreciate the congregation really allowing people to "come as they are" rather being exclusive. Refreshing |

1. What are you talking about? Who said this WAS the "born again Christian" section. I know what the board is about. It was MY random thought. Unlike yourself, I dont attempt to speak on things which I do not know.
2. Don't worry about my signature... worry about yourself. My salvation doesn't come through you or anything you say to or about me. No matter WHAT I say or do, YOU (contrary to what you may believe) can not and have no right to judge or attempt to discern my salvation and I'd appreciate if you didn't. Leave my salvation to me and God. As a born again Christian, why are you always so divisive, judgmental, and negative? Consider that. Thanks. Enjoy your evening.

Satan has three goals:
1. To steal (your joy, love & peace)
2. To kill (your enthusiasm & desire to be faithful)
3. To destroy (your relationships, your Christian witness, your family, & The Church)
Ephesians 6:12 tell us with whom we are in spiritual warfare. Brothers and sisters in Christ are NOT our enemies.
Continued divisiveness and attempts to attack fellow sisters and brothers in Christ does nothing more than further Satan's goals.
Food for thought:
what have you said/done/expressed/ or portrayed to further Satan's goals? Be it IRL or on OOA or anywhere else?
are you constantly divisive, argumentative, and petty?
is your goal to tear down your fellow Christians or to lift them up?
what are you doing to move from warfare to worship?
Don't let anyone steal, kill, or destroy you...not even those who claim to be your brother/sister...don't help him to advance Satan's goals.

People hold to their opinions far too much. God could care less what we think about His word or His way. We need to stop thinking that because we think something is ok, God is fine with it.
Allow God to blow the lid off your assumptions and be open to receive whatever He is saying.
Many of us haven't heard from God in a while...last time we heard God, you were writing in crayons...lol...but now, His voice is silent b/c if you may have exalted your own opinion above God's word.

I often tell people that we are to evaluate our thoughts, ideas, and opinions by what God's Word says. Our opinions mean nothing if God's word says differently.
Even in seeking God, we need to be sure it is His voice we are hearing. I hear people say all the time that God directed them to do a thing, but said thing does not agree with the scriptures. While I do believe that God deals with individuals in a variety of ways, the most important way is still through His Word. If we know God's word, then we can know His will.
