I am going to say this. When it was down to Hillary and Obama, I knew any Republican was doomed. But then I saw the implosion. So in reality, if the dems lose, it will be due to self-destruction.

I am going to say this. When it was down to Hillary and Obama, I knew any Republican was doomed. But then I saw the implosion. So in reality, if the dems lose, it will be due to self-destruction. True...it's theirs to lose. What I worry about is that - Obama has tried to change the tone of campaigning. It's something I bought into and thought could happen with McCain as the opponent.
But now - I think Hillary was right about one thing. People give in to "negative politics". As much as we say we don't like it - we respond to it in the way it's designed to make us respond. If you cannot create a new dynamic that is stronger than "negative politics" then you are FORCED to use it - citing "ends justify means" or "the greater good" or any other unsatisfactory excuse to justify using it.
Obama may not want to "throw them thangs" but he's going to have to. Because the Republicans are going to spare nothing in this fight - and it really is the Democrat's race to lose this year.

While I hear what everyone is saying about Obama hitting harder (and I'd like to see more of it myself,) we must STILL remember that HE will not be able to play the role of the lowdown bastard like McFossil and get away with it. For if he does, then it will be said "I thought he was not a typical politician." Y'all have seen me post here before that Barack Obama is damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't and that is because he is BLACK!
If you think about it, it's much the same as the racist right have tried to paint him as "elitist" because he's educated. We know that there is no way in hell a white man would ever be accused of such. I have decided that there is a relatively sizeable faction of the population that will not vote for this man because he's black...I don't care what he does! I mean, how many folks have you heard of...even after it's been debunked for months, that still claim "I've heard he's one of them thar muzlims," or "I heard he used the "ko-run" when he was sworn in," or "I heard he attended one of them thar muzlim schools when he was a little boy over in Madag...Madagaz....Mada...oh hell, over in Af-ru-ku!" And this is even after CNN sent a reporter to the school and debunked that myth!
There are still some very dumb people in this nation, and unfortunately, there will be many more that will come in from their cabins and trailer parks to the local feed stores to vote this fall. And lest we forget...there are some black folks out there who are equally as ignorant. How many black folks have you heard say something crazy about "I don't know whyyyyyy he would have stayed at that church all those years while Wright preached hate and racism." If you haven't met one to make such a silly comment, I can share about 5 of the ones I've met with you.
Bottom line...I think they will hit McFossil when it's late...long after his diatribe and rhetoric has somewhat played out, and they can then hit his ass with something that will stick. I still stand by my prediction that McFossil will have an anger breakdown during the debates or at some point and time out on the campaign trail.

Obama is brilliant! His speech was truly awesome, on so many levels. As I listened to Obama speak, and thought on the significance of the occasion, and as I watched as the cameras captured Obama's Black daughters giggling and chatting with Biden's White granddaugters, and as I watched all of the cultures represented in that stadium, many with tears in their eyes as they listened, all united in purpose, I thought that this is exactly what MLK was must have been describing in his "Dream" speech. I was so moved. I called my grandmother and she was crying with joy. She was present for MLK's Dream speech 45 years ago on this date, and for her to see this today moved her beyond what I could ever imagine. This is history in the making and I feel so blessed to be able to watch it happen.

I watched the telecast via TV One, and found that to be entertaining at best. I was very surprised to see Jesse Jackson SR was at the convention. I guess he should show support. Anyway, Obama did a good job and now its time to get to work.

Yes...it is time to get to work. And I'm excited. He was being criticized and characterized as not being strong enough in his attacks HOWEVER I feel in last nite's speech he addressed issues head on and clearly outlined why he would make a better Commander In Chief than McCain.

I also liked the fact of how he was like, yes we may differ on this issue, and that issue, but surely, we as a people can find common ground on the issue. Brilliant, brilliant, birlliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And to see all the different races, young, old, and those in between, it just touches me.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUULrCJvwBQ I was so moved by Obama's speech last night. He BROUGHT IT! It was amazing, truly amazing. This is history in the making! I love how he finally got down and dirty against McCain: John McCain likes to say that he'll follow bin Laden to the gates of hell — but he won't even go to the cave where he lives.HA! Loved it, loved it, loved it!! Eight is Enough!

You see? This is a perfect example of people deciding to believe what their emotional investement requires them to believe - regardless of what the TRUTH actually is.
Can you imagine black folks acting like this if Hillary had won? Is it even fathomable?
These idiot sock puppets, having no legitmate outlet for their anger and frustration, are inventing reasons to oppose Barack.
Filed an injunction because he's not qualified to be president? What the @#$% is she smoking? Honestly - I have my doubts as to if all of them all really Hillary supporters - nowadays claiming to be an independent is the "in" thing to do if you are a Republican and embarassed (and rightfully so) for what your party has become.
Still some of it is real - and it is a SAD commentary on America.
And Prissy, I think you know that men will almost certainly remember this and use it against Hillary or the next woman that runs. They are letting these self-entitled brats become the face of women in politics. It'll be another 20 years I guess before a woman can make a credible run.
NOTE: I actually think that McCain might pick Palin after all this. Of course if he does than maybe Hillary has something to fight for after all. I called this 3 days ago... in your face PrissyAKA. LOL.
