*YAWN* I just exalted you Soror...you were at 33...I just wanna make sure they pay what they owe..... *stretch* Thank you Soror... You giveth and Damie taketh away. He just smited me... He is just bitter because i was right about Biden. I'm not bitter about Biden... I just can't believe that someone as intelligent and insightful as you (as clearly demonstrated byyour post above about Hillary supporters defeating their own cause) could vote for Bush the SECOND time around. What's crazy about all this is that your post above was so "on point" that now I'm gonna have to exalt you and give it right back.
I am torn by this.
In this thread you have made me love you, hate you, and love you all over again. I'm so confused (LOL)

And here lies the contradiction of the actual vs perceived relevance of Hillary's "historic" campaign. The fact that a woman went as far as she did in the primaries and won as many votes as she did, is truly an achievement for the women's movement. BUT The reaction at her loss is also a setback for the women's movement. Some of the reasons given for why women don't make good leaders is that we are too emotional, we aren't rational thinkers, etc. The way some of her supporters have acted have only proven these arguments to be correct. You have the Shrillarys all over the place talking about how Obama has not reached out to them, he has not paid down her debt (he has been a little busy lately), he insulted her, he was condescending to her, etc. You have that delegate (I can't remember which state she was from) that said she was going to vote for McCain since Hillary lost. The DNC stripped her of her delegate status so she can't attend the convention and she is all over the news complaining because no one from her local DNC office reached out to her to find out why she felt that way and she realized she signed some papers, but she didn't know that the papers said that she had to be committed to support the Democratic nominee (you all probably think I am making this up, I will post the Youtube video of this fool when I find it). Then you have all these Hillary supporters that are going to vote McCain. They will vote against all of the things that their candidate stood for, and I assume they stand for, and for what reason? That's worth 1 exaltThat's worth another exaltdamn that's worth another exaltdamn - this was one of the best posts ever Prissy - the last paragraph was worth another exalt bringing your grand total (that I owe you - on some I'd-gladly-pay-you-Tuesday-for-a-hamburger-today ish ) to 4 exalts.

My sentiments exactly!! It's seething that these supporters of a LOSING candidate think that the Democratic Presidential Nominee should continue to cow-tow and accomodate her. It all goes back to what Gov. Bill Richardson and Father Michael Pfleger and others have said about Hildegard Rod-damn Clinton...she thinks that she was entitled to the nomination, and many of her crazy supporters obvioulsy can't see past the fact that Obama beat her..fair and square. Their feeling that she was somehow "cheated" just doesn't ring of anything that a sensible human being would continue to rant and rave about.

Michelle looked great...I haven't seen a perm that fresh in a long time, lol.
The little girls were cute and the youngest one was a trip
Hillary supporters were just that supporters of Hillary and only perping like they were about the issues. Because if they were really about the issues then they'd have no problem voting for BO.
O B 0 8 !

You see? This is a perfect example of people deciding to believe what their emotional investement requires them to believe - regardless of what the TRUTH actually is.
Can you imagine black folks acting like this if Hillary had won? Is it even fathomable?
These idiot sock puppets, having no legitmate outlet for their anger and frustration, are inventing reasons to oppose Barack.
Filed an injunction because he's not qualified to be president? What the @#$% is she smoking? Honestly - I have my doubts as to if all of them all really Hillary supporters - nowadays claiming to be an independent is the "in" thing to do if you are a Republican and embarassed (and rightfully so) for what your party has become.
Still some of it is real - and it is a SAD commentary on America.
And Prissy, I think you know that men will almost certainly remember this and use it against Hillary or the next woman that runs. They are letting these self-entitled brats become the face of women in politics. It'll be another 20 years I guess before a woman can make a credible run.
NOTE: I actually think that McCain might pick Palin after all this. Of course if he does than maybe Hillary has something to fight for after all.

yeah that was comedy, lol. she kept saying "I'm not gonna tell you that." When he kept asking about her sources I just knew she'd stick her fingers in her ears and starting singing and making loud noises, lol. I think most of these people are racist and just like the idea of voting for a WHITE woman. Had it all been in between a Black woman and a Black man they would never have stepped foot on the democratic side.

It is not just men, I may never vote for a woman for president. It would be so much easier if they would just go ahead and call Barack the "n" word, just do it then we can go ahead and talk about the real reason you don't support him. We can then let women off the hook and lay the shenanigans at the feet of the racists where they belong. Right now though, they are making women look bad.

First thoughts:
Oops, she forgot proud wife/former first lady
This whole night seems to be about being showing excitement the Hillary is on board. I know they need her supporters but it's just weird to me. But then again I don't understand the concept of supporting Hillary and being a sore loser and voting for McCain.

Hillary's speech I thought was excellent. I'm finding it kind of strange that the networks CNN in particular is giving SO MUCH AIR time to Republicans for rebuttal and spin. Their week is was next week. But since they are so desperate for attention, so desperate to attack Barack any and everywhere (including at his convention and during his convention) - they can expect the same NEXT week. I hope their campaign doesn't give them a moment of rest - not one single moment. I hope they interrupt, interject, and spin any narrative the Republicans try to construct.
The black lady crying about Hillary's end of her campaign - she was kinda over the top. I mean you've had several months to get ready for this moment that you KNEW was coming.
I appreciate that Hillary showed you that you could accomplish anything. But Sista you are black. Barack's candidacy and success would tell you the SAME thing. They championed the same platform - you aren't losing. Moreover - Hillary isn't dead. Her career isn't over - this level of mourning is inappropriate and based in emotion not reason.
And if it is not based on reason HOW CAN OBAMA EVER MAKE AN APPEAL TO YOU? I hear the Clinton supporters keep saying he has to reach out to us - my question is how? With what? The only thing you all seem to want is the thing that he can't give you.
So please tell us - how can he as the winner - better serve your fragile nonsensical wandering emotional condition? According to the black lady, the man who is champion of the SAME platform that Hillary would have enacted has (as she said) 2 months to convince her... of what I don't know. He just has two months. Apparently the platform means nothing.
How about this - Hillary isn't dead - neither is her career - so YOU have 2 months sista, YOU have 2 month to get YOURSELF together and vote for Barack so Hillary can get some of her legislation through.

What part of "Barack Obama IS MY candidate and will be my President" of Hillary's speech led you to the conclusion she isn't endorsing Barack Obama? ? She even acknowledged Michelle Obama as the perfect mate and FIRST Lady! Ugh! <smh>

I think FINALLY Hillary did her job. I don't know if it'll be enough to bring them all back home - but some will.
The Republicans were feeding the dissention and truthfully if you are angry and you WANT to believe that Hillary was cheated or that there is a bad guy in all this... the Republicans spin machine was in full throttle...
...and the media was there enabling.

Hillary's speech was superb. There is nothing else she can say to convince her supporters to get behind Barack. In so many words, she said "You're a dumb ass if you either stay at home, or vote for McCain." At this point, anybody who supported Hillary who is NOT on the Obama train is a lost cause.

Hildegard "a.k.a" Hillary Rodham Clinton....you definitely regained some of the respect I lost for you during the campaign. I had to go with James "Crazy Cajun" Carville when he said.."This was a fast pitch! Where did that ball go?" THAT was reminiscent of the Hillary of old. The Hillary that so many of us respected for so many years. And Damie...bruh...you need to be on CNN! Once again, you have pegged the media pundits and the right-wing hate mongers and hypocrites dead to rights!! I too have wondered why CNN/Larry King have felt the need to have the haters offer their commentary all week, knowing full well what they are going to say. The only one that has been HALFWAY objective is Kelly Conway, and that's not saying much. What hateful, evil refugee boat did that Leslie Sanchez hop off of? Sheeeesh! And yeah, the ONE sister they found to talk to after Hillary's SUPERB address...she was a bit much. I can surely understand her sentiment, but I guess I'm hard pressed to think how she (or the CNN folks) might think that there are Obama supporters who have not said the same thing about the movement that he's generated this election season. I do hope she won't be foolish enough to keep her butt at home on election day. For someone so passionate about her choice, it was almost an oxymoron for her to even hint that she would need to be "prodded" to go to the polls. Overall, a great night for the democrats. I'm looking forward to hearing what Bill will say tonight, but more than that, I think Biden is really gonna get the convention hall revved up! The more I think about it, he's just the shot in the arm Obama's smooth, silky (but will dice your azz with a sophisticated cut of his tongue) campaign needs. And how about the governor of Montana.....Brian Schweitzer....he got 'em going, shades of Obama at the 2004 convention. I see a renewed democratic party after Obama rocks the house Thursday. denounced, Are you SURE you're not from "west virginia?"
