I've got to get things back on e-track. I'm a little nervious about the whole truce-like air hanging between us.

I don't wear makeup daily but when I do my powder alone does the trick for me. No primer I just use my Oil of Olay moisturizer, clean and clear oil blotting strips and call it a day. Might use MAC Fix spray to set the powder.
I don't use much foundation unless I am going out. I don't like that made-up look some people when they take off their make up & foundation their skin is horrible and they look like a totally different person. Makeup should enhance your beauty not work miracles or turn you into another person.

And if you have craters and pockmarks and bumps, trust the makeup is not camoflauging anything. I don't think heavy makeup looks good on anyone. I wear powder sometimes but I hate that it ocmes off on my phone, sollars etc. Not sure how to "set" it and I was reading that a good primer would do that.

I rarely wear foundation. Not because I have naturally flawless skin (I don't) but because I don't care for having to treat myself like a china doll. I also tan quickly so it would be hard to maintain a match. At the most, I'll brush a little bronzer on my cheeks/jawbone. If I'm having a breakout or a blotchy day AND I know I'm going to be in pictures, I'll use my pressed powder alone (maybe a dab of liquid or concealer over the blemishes).
I only wear primer with mineral foundation. The last few times I wore the mineral my face was pretty itchy (not sure if it was the powder or the brush or what), so I haven't worn it in awhile.

I dont wear foundation because I have only found one that matches my skin and even then it took away the natural highlights of my face (too heavy). I try to maintain a good complextion by drinking a lot of water and washing my face with Black soap

If I wear foundation/pressed powder, I have to wear blush AND bronzer to achieve the natural highlights that the makeup covered over. I have an awful lot of color in my face (pink, yellow, red) especially in the summer and I try to keep my face clear rather than cover all that up.

I haven't worn foundation in ages. However, I am looking into purchasing a new one. It will probably be Graft0bian HD cream. MAC studio fix worked very well but not so sure it was good for my skin.
I love the sheer, light, smooth look best. Foundation everyday in the heat is a no-go for me. My acne is gone and I'd like to keep it that way.

i hate foundation but unfortunately am still prone to breakouts when I'm stressed that I cannot seem to keep from picking. Right now, i'm tolerating the discoloration rather than walking aroud with a face full of make up on but am working aggressively to fade the spots so that even powder isn't needed.

what do you use for fading?

A good exfoliant and a 4% hydroquinone gel. Slow but I'm seeing progress. I'd love for chemical peels to work for me by unfortunately I had really bad hyperpigmentation from the last one.

oh, ok. I alternate between microdermabrasion and glycolic peels. I have two different aestheticians, one clinical and one holistic/natural. Believe-it-or-not, the clinical one is cheaper. The holistic one has her homemade natural moisturizers, cleansers, serum and toner for retail and I trust those much more for everyday use.

NARS Sheer Glow is my new foundation. Haven't worn foundation in many months. Old one was MAC Studio Fix - very nice but too heavy and I hear the ingredients aren't so great for acne prone skin.. LOVING this NARS one. Light, easy to use, photographs flawlessly, perfect color match (New Guinea) and the "glow" is not OD for an oily skin gal.

I tried out Lash Stiletto and returned it the same day.

OK, bought some define a lash on the strength of y'all's recommendation and that ish is the BEST EVER. I probably should have gotten the +volumizing because unfortunately my lashes are thin and stubby but as far as length and definition, it's on point like no mascara i've used before. Thanks for the tip ladies!

anybody curl their lashes regularly? No...only my fake accent (strip) lashes which I do not wear everyday. My own eyelashes are super duper curly naturally. I used to be scared of eyelash curlers. Actually they still scare me.

I just got the hang of eyelash curlers. Started using them about 18 months ago and I really dig them. Trick is...apply one coat of mascara FIRST, then curl, then add another coat as necessary. My eyelashes are very short so it wasn't easy to get a pair of curlers that would actually grip them.

I didn't like the Lash Stilletto as much as Define-A-Lash for some reason...everything doesn't work for everyone #kanyeshrug I feel the same way. It's all about the brush. The rubber define-a-lash brush is the truth. I don't care for the long wiry fiber brush that comes with Stiletto. #properjob #propertools
