Having infiltrated the Greek World, I can safely report that while each org has many members doing fascinating or noteworthy things, the vast majority are every day folks just trying to live their lives the best they can. They go to work, pay mortages, raise families, and deal with debt, sickness, layoffs, etc......
I must admit since I did come in after grad school, I might have a different perspective of greek life hierachy.

When I was in undergrad the differences were more highlighted between us all, but things changed once I moved on to Grad Life. I have a nice amount of friends in Kappa and Alpha and when we hang out, it's no different than when I'm out with Frat. They are all totally comparable concerning social status, career, education, and personal views. Only difference is our orgs. We talk about our Frats and I'm amazed about how similar we all are in the type of Brothers we have and ideas we have. To answer the original topic question, there are people who believe in an "Elite 5".. |
