Vudu, you must have me mistaken for someone who would care to go back and forth with you. I laugh at the thought! Recall my advice to Isis: "n chapter 6 of Mark's Gospel, Jesus calls the twelve and begins to send them out two by two. He tells them, "If any place will not welcome you and they refuse to hear you, as you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet as a testimony against them" (Mark 6:11). I have learned that a person has to be willing to HEAR what you are saying rather than waiting for their chance to try to discredit what you are saying. Vudu's goal is to discredit so that what he proclaims will make sense. In such instances, "shake off the dust that is on your feet" and speak to those who are actually LISTENING and not just waiting to try to discredit you. " In regard to you, I already shook off the dust that was on my feet! I did not post my responses as a means of trying to convince you. We can agree to disagree and keep it movin'. My responses were for my brothers and sisters in Christ who my read this thread and may have questions. Therefore, my friend, I wish you many blessings! Jesus still loves you!

Do Be Do Be Doooooooooooooo! lol When we post from the Bible and, in your case, the Quran, do we not post verbatim? The real question is this: was the information I posted incorrect? It took you a few days to form your responses to my initial posts that were not from any site. I'm sure that you feel that you have "put me on blast", but this is not an English paper and I am not required to site sources. The bottom line is, I gave answers to the simple arguments that you made. Maybe in the future you should take the time to do some research before you post all willy nilly. Just food for thought! DOO BEE DOOO BEEE DOOOOOO! ;D

You can't ask me to research when you copy and paste from gotanswer/question/ thinga ma jig websites dude. This ninjah here Uh, you are focusing on the ONE part that I copied and pasted, yet you offer no defense of why John could not have been guilty of sin. Interesting...you are a disappointment! At any rate, Romans 3:22-25 states: "..the righteousness of God through faith is Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction, since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God;they are now justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a sacrifice of atonement by his blood, effective through faith." Luke 7:28 states, "I tell you, among those born of women no one is greater than John; yet the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he." As John was born of a woman and a man, he falls victim to Original Sin, which is passed down from generation to generation. The only one to walk the earth who was COMPLETELY free of sin was Jesus, for Jesus was the Word that was with God and was God from the beginning. The Word then became flesh (Jesus Christ). As the Word was God, God is free from sin. As for John, he was fully human and subject to original sin..which would make him a "sinful" man. Now, go back up and see the bold words ALL WHO BELIEVE. You have stated that you are not a believer, so that is why I shook off that dust (you) from my feet. ...and this definitely will be my last reply to you on this subject.

I call bullchit and miss deal dude! NO WHERE as it pertains to Jesus baptism does it show John being a sinful man as it stated in your copy and paste. Period. I not only offered commentary on that but also every other point as well. John stated that out of humility. Furthermore John's birth was brought forth by the lord per the story and fortold by Gabriel... So again how is he a sinful man? Cmon guy.

VP, why are you so bent on pushing your views on other people? Sounds to me like you are no better than Denounced or Water. *kayne shrug* No one is forces you to read what anyone writes. If you do not share the same worldview as me, then so be it. Most of the time when I post, I am not simply dialoguing, I am debating. Dialoguing and debating are totally different. Now read what you wrote. If you read your statement, you are forcing your views about myself and water on others. So remember that when you make a judgmental statement, ask yourself, can it be turned back around on me. Now let me ask you a question, GFML... Is truth absolute? Sensitive Christians and unbelievers are always complaining about info being shoved down their throats. Then I know you cannot stand the current President, because he is shoving his worldviews down our throats.

I am a non-demoninational Christian. I love my church, and I love the experiences I have with God. There is no aspect of my current church that I have a problem with. When I was younger, and I attended a non-demoninational church with Pentecostal/AME roots, there were MANY, many things I disagreed with. Pastor using the members money to finance his new Mercedes, Pastor promoting himself and his church within the community RATHER THAN GOD, people falling out at the slightest touch from Pastor when the message wasn't even that hot/praise and worship hadn't even got started good yet , the whole speaking in tongues thing (which I still don't get to this day - if any of you are Pentecostal, please explain this to me). It just seemed really fake, IMO. And that was the main reason why I've never been back. Though I had great experiences there as well, I just couldn't agree with all of what was going on, and if I can't agree with all of it, I ain't having none of it. What I love about my church now is that it is very much focused on YOUR OWN PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, your relationships with other believers, and your commitment to let Christ's light shine through you to everyone you meet. Period. There are no extra flairs, whims, whistles or bells, such as praying to saints for your salvation, or speaking in a different language, or jumping up and down screaming, shouting, hooping and hollering EVERY TIME Pastor says, "YESSSSahh! AMMEENNNahhh!" and starts to sweat profusely (y'all know what I mean). To me, all of that extra stuff can take away from the purpose of the Church as Christ intended. Now this is what I mean. You make the statement criticizing Water and me, then 40 minutes later this stuff. But I know how it will read in the GFML press release.

*NOTE: This thread is based on the premise that Jesus was, in fact, a literal, historic figure - not an allegory. Don't come in here trying to debate His existence. That's not the point of the thread. I'm looking at YOU, VP. *side eye followed by ((HUG))*Okay, you guys know I'm a converted Catholic. In my church, it was pretty much common knowledge that Jesus belonged to a "secret society" called the Holy Order of the Essenes. In a lot of ways, they were similar to modern monks, BUT not in every way. Supposedly, they also created a mystery school & used some practical magick (there's a reason for spelling it this way) & ritual. If this is true, how do you feel about Jesus's participation? Would it change your views of The Christ at all? So, I am really late on this... but I was wondering did you really hear about the Essenes and Jesus in Catholic Church? And if so, in what manner... does general knowledge mean that it is taught or simply spoken of in passing?

I have to come back in here & catch up.
To answer the question above me @ Kryptik, it was commonly taught by my (former) priest & many within the archdiocese.
BTW, are you Catholic?
