Are Northface jackets that warm? They all look small and thin but a lot of other folks wear them. I thought Sperry's were a fluke until I bought a pair....greatness, LOL. Yes its like walking around with a snuggie on... lol...

Man, I doubted the hype about UA heat gear until I put some on and went running one cold day. Some of these new textiles are deceptively effective against cold.

Really? Do you still wear a jacket over the heat gear?

I typically just have on the compression leggings and a heat gear hoodie over a t shirt. Down to the mid 30's, it's pretty comfy! Teens, not so much

I learned that when I started traveling to Chicago. Bump cute hair, a hat is NECESSARY. @ Pep, this cannot pass soon enough! But I did use my car's seat warmers for the first time yesterday. That part was nice I said that, not Pep lol! I absolutely adore my seat warmers in my car. Great invention indeed.

So they are closing schools early because it might snow. Most weather people are saying that we will get a dusting of snow. A dusting...yet they are going to shut the schools down like it is a tornado warning

OK that sucks Queen. What's the point of being in the South when you can't capitalize on irrational weather fears?

lol @ Reign
Shelby county made the decision to shut down last night. Memphis city schools were still undecided this morning. In the end, the MCS kids had to go for a half day.

I heard this winter is going to be the worst winter since 1985... like the weather isn't going to go away anytime soon... even if it warms up other fronts are coming for the rest of the season ... I live in Florida for a reason... well actually I was born here... but I'm still here mainly because of the weather....

Ok, I'm laughing right now. There is not enough snow outside to even fully cover the grass. I would have to get all of the snow from an entire yard to even make a snowball.
I don't really have a problem with kids being out of school but folks with non school related jobs need to get to work. I'm going to need folks to slow down and use some sense...black ice doesn't care where you're from.

And they said global warming was real... Global warming melts the polar ice caps which then float down the oceans and cause colder than usual temps because wind is blowing over the now icey waters

People were sliding into each other all over the place. No reason to add to the traffic if you don't have to. What was killing me was that they told folks to stay home and then folks were mad that they disobeyed the direction and went out anyway and got stuck, smashed, and stranded. Some HAD to be out but a lot of people just WANTED to be out.

when I woke up this morning, i looked outside and saw a winter wonderland. At 10 it started melting. Around 10:45 it started raining. At 11:20 it started sleeting. Temps are dropping, and tonight, everything is suppose to freeze.
I'M NOT BUILT FOR THIS ISH!!!!!!!

It's the weirdest ish I've ever experienced @ '91. One day it's 20 & raining, next day it's 78 with 90% humidity, day after that it's snowing.
I HATE the weather here. UGH
