The South is more hospitable, runs the BGLOS's, produces superior athletes, produces superior cuisines, the best female booties, and produces the greatest African-American leadership and minds by way of those wonderful HBCU's and those wonderful Big Mamas you better not play with.
Yeah, I just said all that, whenever you get through! Now pass me a plate of G.R.I.T.S.

The South has produced major players in music and entertainment, but so have the other regions in the US. To name a select few:
Mid-west: Motown Records Quincy Jones Ohio Players Bootsy Zapp and Roger Prince Madonna Jackson Family
East Coast: T.S.O.P./ Gamble and Huff Harlem Rennaissance and jazz legends Hip-Hop Broadway and legendary musicals
West Coast: Sly Stone S.O.L.A.R. Records (drawing a blank??)

Hmm when I lived in the South you all were more nasty. I suppose it simply depends on the person and not the region. These types of threads always gets the board moving. What do you see as differences? i.e. Southerners are more affectionate

Northerners are more stylish and more like people from Cali (excluding the Bay Area, Central Cali, and San Diego.)

You can get tea that is actually sweet in South Ordering sweet tea in any place thats not the South can be an interesting experience...LOL Man, I ordered sweet tea at a soul food restaurant in Cincy, and the waitress looked at me crazy, sent the manager over, and lectured me on how stupid it was to put sugar in tea BEFORE it's iced because the sugar won't dissolve. I and left.

Northerns are more accepting of foreigners People in the South ask "where your people from" within the first 5 minutes of meeting you and if you have people from the same city that they do, even if its somewhere with millions of people like Houston, they clown if you dont know them. "you dont know any smiths in Houston huh? then your people must not get out much then <or other backhanded insult>" Post 2-9-0-6 *yeah I know. its not as good as 1-9-0-6 but still...*

In the North, they don't shut down schools with the first flake of snow
Generally in the North, you get more full "Seasons". Spring is Spring, Summer is Summer, Fall is Fall, and Winter is Winter. There's no mistaking one for the other.
I would say the South has the best women, but given that NY, DC, and Chicago are all in the North... I just can't say that with a straight face. There are stunners from all over
The South has better tasting food, but it will kill you faster
The South is less expensive - the same house you can buy in Atlanta for 350k you couldn't drive past for less than 650k in most places up North
The North tends to have more successful sports franchises, the last 6 NFL teams to win Superbowl are in the North, last 6 MLB teams to win World Series are in the North, the last 2 Stanley Cup Winners, from the North. Basketball is more evenly spread, but historically speaking the more successful franchises are in the North
The South is friendlier - it just is
The South is slower and more country - it just is
Damie lives in the North, but 91 lives in the South... I don't think there was ever a better demonstration of why the North was better
Aight that's all for now

Actually it's the entire city and it's before there is even a flake of snow. If we even think there will be snow then the city shuts down...after all of the milk, bread and bottled water have been bought.

True but in the South, we don't start dying and declaring a state of emergency once the temperature goes above 89 degrees.
