I couldn't even post yesterday. Especially after reading about Rush Limbaugh and his rant about how "in an Obama America, Black kids beat up White kids and the Black kids cheer it on".... I wonder where his ass is now?! What burns me up is that these morons can fuel this racial fire, knowing that one day it will burn out of control and no one says a thing! Michael Steele is the worst person in the world right now. I can't stand to see his self hating face. He is the token face of the Republican party and they are using him as a shield to spew their race hating venom. We have to be more careful in what we call out as racism because we run the risk of being "Chicken Littled"! There are increasingly more examples of TRUE venom out there to point out and to call out on its face. On the other hand, we can not excuse ignorance and call it keeping it real! That shit with Kanye was more than just some dude going off the farm for a second. When we see stupidity...we should call it out and not laugh about it! Especially when it's not funny! Cam, I'm really feeling you...and I'mma let you finish but Rush is one of the best shock jocks of all time. ALL TIME!  |

Diva it's almost like you have to down here (being Strapped). It will get to a point when we will start driving around with our weapons on the front seat of the car. I think women (especially our single parent sisters) NEED to carry. I have honestly thought about it where I live now. For the moment, I have settled for using common sense, being aware of my surroundings and I plan on purchasing mace. Folks are crazy. And yea, single women are most certainly targets. These days common sense is the very least you should have. And the people who do things like this don't have common sense, so we need to protect our babies even if it means resorting to street sense. |

Living in the South requires you to be pessimistic about situations breaking in your favor. I love living down here but that doesn't mean you're going to catch me in Forsyth County after dark. I'm not strapped but I'm also always conscious of where I am and who's around. Excatly '91. It's like I said in a previous post in here, you got to be careful. Even though it is no longer the 60's and further back, when it comes to certain things and certain areas in the south, you have to revert back to like it is in order to avoid incidents like this one. It's sad, but it's the south. They still talk about the Civil War, mind you this happened way before any of the people that are harping on it were born! Can't let the days of old go, well some of them can't. |

Yes, he did say this but apparently there's video of the incident that refutes his claim and none of the witnesses corroborated his claim. Hopefully, he'll run into some dudes on one of those dusty backroads and get what he deserves..... |

Heard this morning that this guy got so many charges against him. He's in jail now but he was visibly shaking and also crying before he was taken off.

Not out of the woods yet though. His Attorney is planning on Appealing the charges. If I'm correct this just arraignment (I may have it wrong). If this case doesn't continue with community support it could loose steam and things will begin to "slip" through or "slip" out. |

Ok I have a question.
Should Cracker barrel have any fault in this? The community is a lil pissed right now because CB will not release the video tape of the occurrence. I believe they've released it to the PD but not to the public.

JJ you are correct and I 100% agree with you. CB does not have to release that tape to no one but the proper authorities. I don't see why some are in an up roar and disbelief on this. Boycotting CB on their history on how they treat black people is one thing, but to Boycott them on something like this? And their employees not intervening is proof of that.

Or start another race riot. Give the legal system a chance first. If that seems like foul play after its all said and done, then seek other recourse.

I agree, there is no excuse for this. It will be interesting to see what happens next. There are no words for this. I'm glad that this has been turn over to the FBI to investigate as a 'hate crime' because there is no other explanation for it. |
