Okay, my best friend from childhood just hit me up (she's actually a former Bible Beater/anti BGLO--I've mentioned her before) and told me "I'm ready to be a member of XYZ [my org], should I do it now, or wait until next year since I'm in school?"
I am not really feeling the idea of her being a member, and to be honest, I am not planning on sponsoring her. She's LAZY, has not done ANY community service the entire time I've known her, is moody, doesn't always get along with people well, and doesn't always use good judgement. I am afraid she would get in and 1.Not come to any service projects, or any other activities 2. Get "convicted" again and "renounce" due to religious reasons 3. Not get along well with other sorors and let that be an excuse to drop out.

I'm pretty sure I don't want my Zeta song sung to me @ my wedding. If my husband is Greek, I don't really want his song sung either. Maybe at the engagement party...

The org revealed is not as important as what her beliefs are about her friend. I agree that she will become convicted again and want to denounce. I wouldn't sponsor her either. NSN, if you know your friend to be lazy, why would she automatically change because she is joining an org? Follow your first mind.

I am pretty sure I'm not getting married, but if I were going to, I WOULD want my sorority song sung to me. And we'd also have a little stroll practice beforehand and we'd do a quick stroll to one song. Nothing too excessive. It would all take about ten or fifteen minutes. It's fun, it livens things up, and from hearing wedding guests talk, they get a kick out of seeing that sort of thing. soooo...when are you going to tell me what org you're in? Neverary 23rd. The org revealed is not as important as what her beliefs are about her friend. I agree that she will become convicted again and want to denounce. I wouldn't sponsor her either. NSN, if you know your friend to be lazy, why would she automatically change because she is joining an org? Follow your first mind. Yeah, I'm just not seeing her as an asset to my organization. And I'm CERTAINLY not trying to look crazy. What's more, she wants me to spoon feed her everything. I have ANOTHER friend who is interested, she has asked me one or two questions, and she has jumped in and is doing her OWN legwork. She is meeting people, doing her own research and attending activities of various chapters in the area.

Z go with your instincts. And be up front with her about it. I wouldn't want her in my org either. She seems too indecisive and flighty to me and my org is a lifetime commitment. She could end up being the female version of Denounced!

ok how in the heck you are going to name your event national Collegiate Step show charging $25 a ticket and then have 4 teams (3 of which are from Florida) stepping. 2 of them are Sigma teams and they didn't even spell that right on the site. They have zigmas. grrrrrrr. You know i think only NPHC teams should run step shows. If this is the only thing that outsiders are seeing they are going to be upset because they aren’t getting what they paid for and it is ruining our brand.
Side note- I had to email the director of this because as of Sunday they didn’t even have the teams listed, I told him that most people want to know who is spending prior to purchasing a ticket. This dude have the nerve to respond back to me saying he agreed with what I said and that the site would be updated by this past Wednesday. I checked yesterday at 7:00am and it wasn’t updated. Now I check and it is. . . .he should fire himself.

So I wear a pink shirt with my school name in white letters on it with a YELLOW shirt underneath so why everyone ask me if I'm an AKA? Am I perping aka and not knowing? Somebody let me know. Then my boss runs up to me after seeing my COLLEGE shirt not greek lettered shirt and say oh you go to this school yall do this and throws up the hooks. Then proceeds to throw up every other greeks sign and combine it with the delta call cause that what my sorority does. YEEEEEAAAAAAAH no. Yea, I had to teach him a few things without puting my job in jeoporady today. it is the recesssion yall.

so I know this girl that wants to go grad only intake is on hold for a while.
why she said she going to go to another state "pledge" then come right back after?
hmmmm is that ok. Maybe I'm young in greekdom but that doesn't sound to good. I mean if she succeeds in this when she comes home she won't be close with any one until she transfer into a chapter at home but still. It not always the easist to bond.
and this is coming from a solo
but its like whatever live your life.
