That makes the Lakers a definite title contender...easy. Bynum, Odom, and Gasol is the best frount court in the league in my opinion.

I'm glad Kwame Brown is gone. That dude used to play my high school and he was garbage then. We all knew it.

yeah, i'm happy with this move. Plus, he should hold down the fort til Bynum gets back. Anything is better than Kwame Brown.

Gasol isnt the Gasol he once was. Injuries killed him.....but the move put the Lakes in the top 5 in the west IMO.
1-Spurs 2-Suns 3-Mavs 4-Lakers 4-Hornets
I was gonna put my Mavs ahead of the Suns but i'm being rationale.

I have-
Spurs (now) Lakers Suns Mavs Nuggets
Dallas surprised me by losing to Boston (w/o KG) last night. And, I'm not sold on Avery.

The hornets will wear down. they can't keep up that pace. The lakers will be good only if Gasol can learn the triangle (which is hard as hell) and Bynum comes back in the form he was at. Dallas will never go anywhere because Dirk is like a German Karl Malone that will never deliver in the clutch. The Suns are in the same boat because they go as Nash does and he is worn out by the playoffs. Denver could be dangerous if Keyon Martin and Camby stay healthy. Watch out for those Blazers. They are young but deep as hell. I wouldn't want to see them in the playoffs. San Antonio may be in trouble if they have to battle injuries too Parker, Ginobli, and Barry going into the playoff. Houston is no threat even though Yao is balling. Utah fell off a little but seems to be coming up since they got Korver. I think the West is wide open in short.
The east is Boston's to lose. Rondo is turning heads running the point. Orlando will go to the second round of the playoffs but lose. The Wizards are dangerous as long as Jamison and Butler stay healthy. Andre Blatche will be a beast in 2 years. They should trade Arenas because they play better as a team without him and he will never play D. LOL Cleveland is about to fall off since Vareja and Sasha just went down. by the way why does Damon Jones have the ForHawk. That went out last year and wont help him shoot any better. He needs to stop stealing money. Detroit will come out of the East if Boston doesn't.
That's my take.

In regards to Houston, McGrady is soft as baby doo-doo. This negro sits out for everything. Flu-like symptoms?? come on......

Thanks.
Yeah McGrady disappoints me. I liked him when he was in Toronto but then he just fell off after being in Orlando. Yao is the truth which surprises me. And why the hell can't Stevie Franchise get any burn in H-town as at least the 7th man. He is a classic scorer who would flambay most teams second unit. :smh:
What's up with your Hawks besides them having too many small and power forwards? LMAO

<--Laker fan since childhood, who supports the local team (Hawks)
Because that's what the Hawks do....draft small forwards. I think Shelden Williams might possibly be the worst player in the league. Reminds me of when they drafted Priest Lauderdale. However, Marvin Williams is coming around, Childress and Smith are solid and maturing. And Horford was a great pick. However, I still hate that we passed on Brandon Roy and Chris Paul.

YEah that is my point. They passed on Roy, Paul and Deron Williams. SMH. They are like the knicks of the south. All 2 guards and forwards. LOL
Well at least Shelden Has Candace Parker. LOL
Didn't know you were a laker fan. You all got real good overnight with the PAu trade. They were balling before and now this will definitely help. Don't sleep on Odom either. When Bynum comes back you will have two 7 footers and a 6-10 guy on the front line. Not bad.

Good solid points brotha...until you said "the East is Boston's to lose". I think it's Detroit's to lose. It's been that way for 5 years running. Boston's stars are old, worn down, have all played on losing teams and HAVEN'T EVER WON A DAYUM THING!! Paul Pierce is streaky, KG will continue to get beat up as the season goes on, and Ray Allen isn't Ray Allen anymore. The record they have now means nothing when you get to playoff time. I say they'll probably finish with about 60, 62 wins and that's giving them the benefit of the doubt. The Atlantic Division is GARBAGE. They'll pile up wins, but will not know what to do in the second season. The Pistons will. Check the age of the cats in Detroit Primo they aren't spring chickens either. And don't forget they let LEbron beat them by himself last year. Yeah I said it. He basically gave them the business on his own. The Pistons will be there but they have tended to shoot themselves in the foot. While Bostons stars haven't won anything they have never really had the people around then to do so. They are deeper than people thought as evidenced by winning against Dallas with a second year point guard leading them and without KG. I will count on Pierce, KG and Allen pulling through against Sheed(who implodes every year in the playoffs now days), Chauncey who got outplayed by Booby in the playoffs last year and Rip Hamilton who has been nicked up. We shall see but I think Detroits window is closing just like Boston will in the next few years. MAtch up wise I think Boston has the edge with KG trumping sheed. Pierce killing Rip at the 3 and Ray allen killing whoever you all put on him. Rondo has shown he can play with any guard in the league so far this season. And to answer you know I am not a Boston fan. I like the Nuggets.

ROTFL!! Naw List, nothing against you brotha. The Lakers DESPERATELY needed a second scorer who has a nice outside shot and some size. I give you...Pau Gasol. The Lakers were going to be tough before they got him, because they've got arguably the best player in the game. And The "Phil" factor. I've liked how the Lakers have looked this year, almost like they've laid low to concentrate on doing damage when it counts. Gasol is an excellent passer, something else they've needed. Umm, sorry, I don't believe in the Hornets. They ain't ready. The Nuggets are DANGEROUS. I agree with Search's take on the Suns and Mavs. I've seen the Mavs (especially Dirk) come up short too many times to think they're going to be about something. I actually had them going to the Finals last year...silly me. LOL...wow Coach, you sure can pick'em! Man, do you have a vendetta against Coach D and all his Teams?? LOL Where the hell are the Hornet on your list??!!! And why the hell is the Lakers now ahead of the Suns AND the Mavs?? Explanation needed....please & thanks.

Primo we are >>here<<< The lakers came out of no where to be good. I slept on what impact getting Fisher back would have. I should have known by the way Golden State and Utah played with him at the point. I used to swear he sucked when the Lakers were winning championships. I have a better appreciation for his game now. I agree the lakers needed a #2 guys since Odom fits more as a utility guy and a 3rd option. When Bynum gets back they will give teams hell with a low and high post player playing in the Triple Post (Triangle) offense. They will be tough for a few years barring injury.
I am tripping at the Hornets record but think they will fold down the stretch. I may be wrong but I just don't see it. They are doing it with smoke and mirrors. I don't think the Blazers will fold for some reason. They remind me of the old Seattle and Denver teams in the 90s that were young and too dumb to know they weren't supposed to be good.

True Search, they have age in Detroit. They also have played with each other for last few years in the playoffs. 'Bron was SSSSIIIICCCKK wit' it in that series...personally I can't fault the Pistons for that. Chauncey is ballin' this year, KG will be eliminated by 'Sheed, and Detroit has their swagger back. We'll see...it's between the two teams, I give you that

I don't believe in the Hornets either. the Suns run themselves to death too early and often during the season.
did I mention how sorry and shiftless McGrady is in Houston? lol.
ok, back on topic. Don't sleep on Golden State giving someone hell like they did last year. They just got Chris Webber (I couldn't even say that with a straight face).
