I read an article this weekend that discussed how women used to take great pride in their homes and cleaning--it was like their homes were a reflection of them. They washed curtains, scrubbed behind refrigerators, did "Spring Cleaning", all that stuff. The article said nowadays with women working and whatnot, homes being a "showplace" just is not that important. The article said women nowadays were interested in their houses being "just clean enough". That kind of hits along the lines of cherry picking in my eyes. If you want me to maintain a great yard (which I do including the flowerbed, edging, and lawn), then I expect the same of you. I take pride in the exterior of my house. i hadn't planted my rose bushes or crepe myrtles before this pic..... so I hope she takes pride in the inside.....

LOL at the ladies talking about how their men don't know how to fold clothes.
That's a cute house.

That is a GORGEOUS house! What year was it built? That's the style house I like.
I don't have a problem with this. In fact, I do a little light gardening/landscaping from time to time (I live in a townhouse but I have a little courtyard).

But the crazy thing was I watched it from the foundation up. Me and my wife and son would go after church and look at houses... and I walked through it and said I wanted it. There were a couple times I called and they had a contract on it, but they fell through and I closed the same day my dad died.

It has sort of a 70s/80s ranch-style feel to it. That's my favorite style of architechture. It had character. I didn't think they were still making houses like this. Most of the new houses they make now look like milk cartons.
