Oh I understand that but read what I said again. In short what I am saying is whether you claim him or not God is God of all. So your bible says... but there are other holy books that state other wise... again not condoning actions or beliefs here.. just trying to neutralize the conversation Well the only point of view I can speak from is my own. I dig and get the whole thing about different beliefs but I don't hold them as valid any more than they hold mine so I guess we are at a stalemate. I believe the Bible to be God's word period. |

My goodness Reign you love to debate/agrue with me it seems. I just don't believe in dipping in and out of marriage. My background, personality, and Religion just can not accept it. You've seen my other post on similar topics About pre-martial sex sex before your wedding day all that. I hear what you saying but I don't think its right. Are Muslims and Jews also bound by Christian Laws?? First there aren't Christian Laws....but that is a discussion for another day. My belief and assertion as a follower of Christ is that just because someone doesn't acknowlege God doesn't make them exempt from judgement. Example: Wesley Snipes didn't pay his taxes why because he believed them to be unconstitutional and didn't pay because he felt he wasn't required to. Did that stop the IRS from coming at him to get that guap and give him jail time...NOPE!!. He has to pay and will probably go to jail despite his belief that they could not require him to pay taxes. So no matter his belief he was subject to the consequences of his actions even though he didn't think they had authority. Capice? So let's just hope when ya get there you don't find this man standing over you...  |

I'm just surprised at the close mindedness... i'm not saying you all have to agree with it, but at least be able to objectively understand other viewpoints... after all we are college educated individuals.. I wouldn't say we're close minded. I mean if one was open to everything. What would they stand for? Sometimes you got to choose a side. Plus, aren't they a little close-minded by shutting out the idea that can't be happily married and monogamous. |

All I'll say is this...
As someone pointed out, this is what they have chosen to do in their marriage. That's their business. I would NEVER agree to this with my husband. I do consider adultery a sin, but that is only part of my objection.

BOOOOOOOO at Damie, lol But this stuff about them being swingers has been talked about for years. As far as role model relationships go I'd prefer the couple who makes it work and is upfront about stuff over the one that acts like they are perfect and behind closed doors he's slapping her around or they are arguing every night. On the flip side, Will and Jada could also be slapping each other around and arguing every night, and just publicly acting like their open marriage is working perfectly. We're assuming they aren't having the same problems that "closed" marriages are having after 10 years. I'd bet they are. And I totally agree. I was thinking the same thing while reading someone other post (maybe Search's post). We are human and have emotions and all of that and can't help but to be jealous and envious and all of that of someone else for whatever reason. Hell I'm jealous of the chick that wears a size 9 shoe because they always have her size in the store, lol. While them being swingers may not totally prevent the feelings of jealousy, hurt, anger, etc it may not bring in all the other stuff that comes with being cheated on and lied to. Because when you find out someone cheated it's not just the fact that they slept with someone else, it's that they lied about it, spent money and time on someone else and lied about it, and on top of that you start second guessing everything else they've said or done. |
