I agree Outtie. If I was to compare, I'd give the edge to this board...I've said before that I prefer it to the old OO.
If you notice, its been all men complaining on this issue. I think this is one that the women just won't understand without seeing the thread that started it. After seeing that thread for myself, my opinion on this changed. I read the clubhouse disclaimer/warning. In my opinion, it doesn't apply to this case. And I think the men are thinking "Well damn...the same thing could happen to me" so thats why we're speaking up.

Okay, I understand. That's true, I guess this is more of yall issue. So I stand down on that, but in general the admins have been coming under a lot of scrunity in general. I think we shouldn't be so quick to compare, because truth is we can't get old OO back. Even if they try to accommodate us---it's gone in the sea of cyber space. And you know I am all for complaining. LOL Let's not get that twisted, but the harsh criticism to folks that aren't get paid for this, but are serving us just the same...I think that's a bit much. I can attest to the fact that there was another FULLOFME signed on earlier. I checked both profiles, however, and the same beautiful face showed on each. So I'm not sure which was the perpetrator. I think I would need a closer look at each picture to determine which was which...

I didn't complain about it...not one bit.
I knew that Nupey was joking around. In his defense, he is the most open and honest poster we have on this board. He's probably too young to understand word and language politic...Ironically, though, he's learning fast as we give him a daily dose of sugar-coating and bvllshyt everyday. He is THEE last person I would think to compromise the rules and guidelines of the thread section...
Guys, what he said, he said in the open...and he said with FULL understanding that if he actually did something like that, there would be dreadful consequences that would follow. Now being fully aware of this, and knowing good and well how Nupey jokes, why would he actually pull that off?
Honestly, I don't see what motivation he had to do it. He's the most active, or one of, the most active posters in the thread with some scathing post that would put him in a very compromising position if exposed, like the rest of us....
Going forward, I think in order for the Men's only thread to exist w/o the power-brokering, we need to re-establish that it's place for men to go and talk shyt, cool out with other fellas and let some shyt of your chest....and for the most part, it's served that purpose...
I think we're getting a little over-zealous and analytical about this. When you put this shyt into perspective, if what Nupey said/did was the worst thing that took place in the thread, then I would vote to let the women peep it out and take part in the judging....
But it isn't....and far from the worse thing said/done in the thread. So what are we really talking about here?.....six one half dozen the other....
I vote to not change a damn thing....Let Nupey have the password so we can enjoy his words and e-persona like WE ALL do.

No decision thus far has been made rashly and/or without consultation from other admins. Or that because my LIFESTYLE is different, there's some sort of problem. Once and for all I was following the directive to keep the forums secure. If you all don't agree with that, fine -- I still did my job. It doesn't require a consult on all of you every time there's a problem. |

Another point to be made is that I think Nupe should be privy to the discussion since he's involved. He can't very well see whats going on in the Men's Forum since he's been suspended. The discussion started here when the Men's Forum was down, and it continued here.
And I don't do PMs for the very reason you just stated..."because they tell me about it." If I say something in public, at least its something I can verify that I said...its not gonna be something repeated from a 3rd party.
