Beef, served up with plastic surgery, botox and weave...
Nicki fires at Kim with "Roman's Revenge"
And Kim retaliates with "Black Friday"
I strongly doubt that Kim jumped out the window with this one but all the subliminal messages scream war. Both went hard on their tracks but Lil Kim put forth minimal effort and killed Nicki by stating facts. Nicki's verses were clever but she's just talkin.............. so it's Team Lil Kim for DJ!
Neither of them can hold a candle to Eminem and I'm in love with that man!!!!! #datpiff

Could be considered a diss, could not... but she was definitely taunting!
Also, I love the teal and blue hair - the Marge Simpson Remix!!!!

I can't stand Nicki Minaj. All the wigs, colors, and animated stuff is just too "extra" for me to handle. The only song/video I like by her is "Right Thru Me" because she actually looks like a person and not a cartoon.

Kim wins that round easily. And that's saying alot because I thought Kim was acting a fool trying to manufacture beef to become relevant (and I think she was)... so for her to win that round that easily KNOWING it's a publicity stunt says that Nicki might want to reconsider her tactics.
Either ignore her or go choke her out on her battle song (I'd do a combination of both. Do a hot a$$ verse, declare yourself the victor, and refuse to respond, saying that Kim never recovered from your beat down)
One thing is clear... simply doing another battle rap is not going to do it.

That is INDEED saying a lot, b/c Kim's lyrical ability plummets exponentially as she surpasses 16 bars Kim wins that round easily. I bet dimes to dollars that 80% of her verse was ghost written. In any event, it's written better and harder than Nicki's. So round 1 to Kim. That is INDEED saying a lot, b/c Kim's lyrical ability plummets exponentially as she surpasses 16 bars Kim wins that round easily. this is partially why i hardly buy music now. It's all a bunch of mess It is. And I'm going to borrow some DIRECT quote from a buddy of mine that's worked in the industry for many years: And in 5 years or so maybe less there will be a Nicki clone and she will be bitching like Kim is. I mean come on now, people are talking about KIM like she is fucking Aretha Franklin, i dont know whats more insane, the Praise and props given to Lil Kim or the whole "light" on this feud. Kim had her time when she was hot and unique, but for what she is/was doing there was no shelf life, lets be real, everyone thought when 50cent came out he was gonna be the next 2pac and shit, and now his music is about as relevant as a new Hanson Cd. When you sell on nothing but image, and lets be real, that is what first gets on Nicki, and after she broke through, thats ALL lil kim was about, her sex appeal, and Nicki is right in that trap, she already has a full magazine out with nothing but sexy eye candy pics in it, how is that relevant in your music? Be a fucking model if thats the case. I listened to Nicki's cd and i can even tell you a standout or memorable song that will last beyond the next few months, and that doesnt mean she sucks ass or anything like that, im just saying i played your cd and you arent doing anything that cant be outdone a few months from now, and then its all about your image and look and that will get you right where Kim is now, forgotten.
So what im basically saying is, this feud and nonsense is good chatter for the internet zombies who need all soundbytes and will make a great Vibe magazine issue, because its all games, i say this, u say that, it gets all over the net, we twitter hate back and forth etc....and who cares. Nicki is competing against no one, just like Rihanna has no competition and Katy Perry has no competition etc...thats why no one is growing or doing anything new or remotely relevant beyond this month.Aaaand: but its nothing about her verbal skills, she can be copied because she is first and foremost an IMAGE just like GaGa is, and again this isnt saying anything on the talent side, i think someone like gaga has a form of talent, but that isnt even important at this point because its all Image Driven with a catchy song as "the backdrop" lets not forget that, alot of artists now the music is their "backdrop" thats why music is not relevant at least in this "mainstream" because its not in the forefront, its 50% image 45% media push and then maybe 5% the song/music. Nicki is selling a look and an image, her music blends all together and has no overall effect.prince.org/msg/8/347517

Your friend said that. Nicki is wack, her verses are wack, she is tryna be a collage of Lil Kim and Lady Gaga (the black verison). Nothing, and I mean NOTHING about her is orignial. And I agree, after a while it will be like Nicki who? because she has no talent lyrically. That plus I think she really does have mutiple personalities. I don't think that is for show.

He/she might have been raised in the era when music was THE product and could stand independent of the image, but what about the new consumers coming to market? Image is all they know. It's what they've grown up on.
And let's not pretend there hasn't always been a fusion of image of music. Music videos predate the current state of music. Thriller was a great album, but the Thriller video was arguably even better, it took the song to dimensions it couldn't have gone to on it's on. Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal video UNQUESTIONABLY makes the song better. Remember the Michael Jackson lean? How many women knew Janet Jackson's "Pleasure Principle" Choreography by heart? The video, the image has always added to the product. Where I agree with your friend is that image has now taken over as the feature, with music playing a supporting cast. But again, if that's all you've ever been fed, it's all you'll ever consume, and all you'll ever be served.

That's why people make plays and motion pictures out of great novels. And you are correct about the new consumers. They don't buy records, they have cell phone bills and chyt to pay for now. They don't go to concerts, they watch youtube, which is why today's artists can't sell out arenas but Bruce Springsteen, Prince, and Stevie can pack a house of 30,000 with no problems. The industry is driven by .99 cents single downloads instead of album sales, and the albums are full of nothing but filler tracks these days anyway. That's the mainstream now, and the way to keep the zombies coming back for more is to keep manufacturing images every 6 months or so. LOL. I give props to Britney. She always knew she was nothing more than a disposable pop-flavor-of-the-month image. She never tried to act like anything different.

Huh Nicki Say What? ? <<=====Lil Kim Fan since she first dropped Huh Nicki Say WHAT??? That little barbie trick is signing her release papers right now with that shit! If Kim wanted to go out and say that Nicki has some "Kim traits" Nicki should have been smart and just said "thanks" cause the truth of the matter is...she SHOULD be straight licking Kim's tire tracks right now! If Kim wasn't who she was, hadn't created a persona for this little barbie bitch to ride on she would still be an UNSIGNED Flat-assed, looking JUST LIKE A NIGGA, stud lesbian workin at Popeyes with a Coke and a f'in smile!!! C'mon Son!!! You have GOT to be kidding me!!! You have to be!!! I'm too mad right now!!! I was trying to forget about this and refuged to listen to Nicki's track!! Then she had the NERVE to put Em on it.....I guess that was so people would know it was a diss track! C'mon man!! Do better heffa...please!!!

Yeah, Roman's Revenge definitely wouldn't have went as hard without Eminem. Has anyone listened to her album besides Adisa's friend? There are a couple of tracks that caught my attention: Right Through Me, Fly & Save Me all flow well together and the one with Will I Am is kinda ok but she aint talkin about nothing. There's something about the vulnerability that she shows in those tracks that I like. For once, she appears to be a real woman with insecurities and feelings other than a plastic fake robot betch manufacturing bad music. Other than those 4 and Roman's Revenge (simply because I love Em).... the album is kinda sucky. Good job trying to boost sales with is a dis track though.

Not a Nicki Minaj Fan, but it seemed like Lil Kim was pushing this feud to get back into the limelight. Minaj seemed like she was kissing her ass a bit earlier before Kim started crapping on her at concerts and interviews..lol Roman's Revenge came out way later than the verbal disses Kim was giving Nicki. Apparently, the feud didn't hurt Nicki's album sales though. That girl has a cult forming...

Kim has always been one to voice when a chick is riding her coattails. She will peek her head out every now and then to see whats going on. She did this to Trina, Foxy Brown and lawd she murdered poor little Jackie-O! Nicki"s head got too big too damn quick. She needed some humility snapped into her ass!

Luckily, she's not worried about selling records because I doubt Kim or Foxy will ever be relevant in that sense anytime soon. This new generation don't care about either one of them..lol

All I know is, Lil Kim murdered Nicki with the diss track, hands down.
Madea has a point though. Nicki is biting off others style instead of coming up with her own. She is a combo between Lil Kim and Lady Gaga (with the off the top outfits and hair). It's like, get your own image!

What Im not getting is when folks say "get your own image" What youre doing isnt original.....etc etc. The bottom line for me is that its working for her. Almost every rapper thats successful has a clone of them. Why reinvent whats already a proven formula? What Gaga is doing today is not original. Madonna did the same years ago. With Nicki and Kim, I can see some of Kim in her, but the Barbie thing....and a black Barbie at that, is pretty original. The wigs? hell they are just wigs and go easily in trasition with the persona she is displaying. I think Kim is trying to get back to relevance by her attacks on Nicki. I mean, if you want the #1 spot, you gotta go after who has the belt currently. When it comes to album sales, right now, Kim isnt even a contender and Nickis album is #2 in the country....not that Im that impressed with it, but its moving units. Nicki has a huge following right now, Kim wants that again. Thats just how I see it from my little keyboard world.

Kim ia tryna find a reason to be relevent. Real talk - EXACTLY what does she want from Nicki? Nicki has aknowledged Kim and other female rappers who paved the way, what more is she supposed to do... the rap game is NOT about humility. Like Nicki said, you don't see Madonna beefing with Lady Gaga!!! F outta here. Female rappers have a short shelf life, period. After they give up the goods (rap about their sex game) it's all down hill from there. I'll tell you what Nicki has over Kim - she understands it ^, largely in part b/c of Kim. Nicki is the rap games BIGGEST TEASE - she's brokered a record deal unlike any other female in the biz and she didn't have to have a song bragging about one sticking a Sprite bottle up her pu$$y to do it! Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if she's not as into women as she lets off... I think it's a way to keep nigguhs interested and at a distance. Kim needs to be real - she wanted some JayZ/Wayne type ish - she wanted a feature on the album and she wanted nicki to beg her for it. She shoulda dropped a CD when she got outta jail, that's RAPPER PROTOCOL 101! But we all know, BEEF sales, it'll be fun to watch for about 5 min.
