according to the "good reverend" Sista, because Christians don't regard the Quarn in high esteem. He is so backwards it's crazy.

So building a Community and Cultural Center wouldn't be a good idea because it would be considered insensitive to those who lost loved one's on 9-11 but this is not catching as much public hell because.....?
For the last week or so everyone on TV has been saying that because you CAN build doesn't mean you SHOULD. Well, this is one moment that exemplifies that notion. What about this is a good idea.
Not to mention, why would you buy 100,000 Korans and then burn them? Why not buy 100,000 bibles and go out to share your own "Good News"?

Right Cam! Where do they think the money is going when they purchase them? They are going for emotions and nothing intelligent.

If General Patreus, the Secretary of State AND the President of the USA says if you burn the Qur'an then you will jeopardize our troops doesn't this mean this man's action is more of a national security concern superceding his right to burn the Qur'an?
If you say yes, why are we begging and pleading with this man? If you say no, is it no because this not a national security issue or no because it does not supercede the right to free speech? Please explain your thoughts. Thanks.

My project team is bigger than dude's church and yet he has the attention of the white house and commanding generals and the entire country. Amazing. He said he's carrying since this story broke. Maybe he's have reason.

Why don't they just arrest him now if it's national security? If his actions will put US troops at risk, why wait? Scoop his ass up and his followers and keep it moving. And how about the media not cover the event if it happens? Don't give him the shine he's looking for.

Because he's not breaking the law. This isn't covered like yelling "fire" in a crowded building.

He's not breaking the law, but I'm sure local and federal officials are digging in this guy's past and present to find something to leverage him with. At least that's what I would do....

Read in another thread on this board that he was denined the burning permit, even though he can still burn the items. I hope they make his fine so huge his is forced to go bankrupt. Him and his "church".

I understand that he is not breaking the law. His actions are protected under the US Constitution. But at the cost of lives? When the press wants to leak sensitive information that jeopardizes national security, that first amendment right gets abridged real fast. Where is the difference?

Good, cause his life, along with our lives of our military soliders, were at stake. Idiot. Somebody probably gave him an ultimatium (sp?).
