Long story short. The kids, 15, 13, and 11, used their own money to take a cab to the airport, bought plane tickets to Dollywood in Tennessee. After landing in the wrong city, they called home. Parents are upset that SW allowed the kids to fly unaccompanied. One dad said hat he could not believe that his kid would do such a thing. Do you think SW was in the wrong? news.yahoo.com/video/us-15749625/dollywood-bound-kids-fly-solo-21385528

what?? these "kids" were 15,13,11 not 5,3,1 ... get out of here... don't try to blame the airline for your neglect.. they should be more upset they were going to dollywood..

Im curious as to how 3 minors have managed to save up enough money for airline tickets. They either had kick-ass allowances or cut grass/shoveled snow like a mofo!!!!!

Keep letting the internet and Disney channel raise your kids . As a devious kid myself, I actually could've managed to fly under the radar for a few hours but I didn't because my mom was an olympic medalist in the sport whoop that arse! A crying shame....

Our mothers have Gold and Silver medals in those sports! But this is the generation where spanking your children is unacceptable and frowned upon. Screw all that, I'm qualifying to win Gold in the 2011 Spank'a'thon! I wish my kids would!!!!!

Whatever.

Shoot, my nana is [still] a professional Spankologist. She teaches Spankology 101 over at the community college. lol
My moms? Let's just say after my uncle had to come fix that Chal-sized hole in the wall, moms didn't have too many more problems out of me.

If these kids had proper I.D. and didn't have to change planes then there is nothing the airline should have done....not really.

I traveled alone ALL DE TIME since I was 9 years old. I never had no special airline escort and nobody raised not narry a eyebrow at my little self lugging a samsonite (before the stick-style rolling suitcases!). I had a boarding pass, which meant I was paid-for. Man, please.
IMO, international travel is different (if only because I think somebody--even if not the airline) should be sure that the children are released into the custody of someone approved by the parents for anti-human trafficking reasons.

I asked her why...after I was taller than her....she said "no marks" Thats whuppin tail at its finest!!!
