I'm having an internal conflict with this right now...
How do you properly show that you are thankful for something but want more at the sametime...
It can be on anything relationships, job, etc.. speak on it

I'm not seeing an inherent conflict myself (so I'm probably not understanding you). If I'm thankful but want more... I work towards getting more. And I guess to me, that effort of working to get more is not inherently disrespectful of what I have already. I don't feel like I disrespected my alma mater by going to graduate school some place else. I don't feel like I disrespected the position I was hired into, by working to get a higher position. Can you explain in greater detail Reign?

Ok maybe it is just me bugging out... I feel like i"m so focus on something right now that I sort of feel like my actions or attitude might show some form of unthankfulness for what I currently have going on??
Does that make sense??? am i just crazytown right now???

I don't think you're crazy...
...unless you're denigrating where you are right now while working towards something else. If you are disparaging what you have right now I guess that would be ungrateful... but you don't have to be that way. I say just get your grind on, and when you make it to the next level, thank the people that gave you the platform from which to launch to your next point. Can't hate on growth.

But Reign you raise an interesting question. If you did talk disparagingly of where you are or what you have...
...is it always necessarily because you aren't thankful? Could it be that things changed where you were (or things that you had changed)?
It's possible that you could be thankful for what something was, but that thing changed - and it changing served as a partial motivation for getting something new. Lot's of ways to look at it.

I think I see what you are talking about. You are supposed to be thankful for what you have and consider it a blessing but wanting more can appear greedy. I say be honest. There is nothing wrong with wanting the best for yourself and putting forth the effort to get it. If you want more, it does not discount what you already have.

Sometimes asking for more is a compliment, i.e. -
Reign: Dem collard greens was good as hell, can I take some home???

If you aren't trying to get more in life, you are a loser.
Being thankful for what you have means that you are content and do not want to move forward. Staying in the same place will eventually lead to you being left behind. You have to keep moving forward and oush for greater things.
Let desire drive you to success.
