BF just got back from Raleigh and was telling me some Sorors were there complaining that while anyone could enter the trade show and pick up some para at the Clave, entry to ours required that you be a registered convention attendee.
First of all, I wasn't aware that everyone didn't restrict admission to the trade shows. Does your org?
Two, I told him I supported it because I was tired of people who could make time to get another shirt to wear but not attend the business meetings and keep abreast of what was going on. We have enough shirt wearers in Delta. I don't want to encourage that further (not sure if this coincides with Delta's official reason for restricting admission). Additionally, it's already easy for perps to acquire para, why encourage it? He argued that opening the trade show would increase revenue for the vendors and that should be the focus.
Do you feel that convention trade shows should be open to all? Why or why not?

Our are typically open and I don't have a problem with it although I wouldn't be upset if it was closed.
