What, if anything, would cause you to fight over your letters? I’m not talking about an intense argument, but actually scrap or or throw down over your letters.
A Perp wearing them with no regards of the consequences?
Another Greek blatantly using your letters (on some form of naila) in a extremely disrespectful manner in public?
A Non Greek being brutally disrespectful & judgmental of your Org, it’s founders, and your membership?
Any other reason?
OR
Because of your age, maturity level, career and family considerations - Would you try to resolve any disputes, disrespect or heated episodes over your letters in a more “adult-like” manner (because you view it as not "that" serious) ??
Speak on it.

Only people who don't have verbal competency respond physically in verbal arguments....or those who have anger management problems. I have learned that the best response to someone trying to disrespect you verbally is laughing at them and acting like it had no effect on you (even if you are boiling inside). They don't know how to react to that. I did that one time when a white guy called me a "nigger" on the phone. It left him speechless for a few minutes.

I honestly cannot think of anything that would make me fight over my letters. I love Delta but at this point I have too much to lose professionally and legally settling an issue of disrespect the same way I did in middle school. I do have some hair trigger Sorors that I might drop a dime to and let them cut the fool but nah, I can't do it.

I love Alpha with all my heart, but I am not fighting. There is just too much on the line involving my career, family, friends, and future goals plus at my age, it's just plan ignorant.

I'mma need yall to hush on the not fighting tip. Ya'll know outsider read this stuff and think we soft and act foolish regarding our letters. I mean I'm not fighting either but THEY don't need to know that. We need to let them THINK that if even think about step wrong to the D9 they will get dealt with.

These days probably nothing. Well let me say I wouldn't initiate anything. I wouldn't fight a perp. If they will perp they will press charges... No Thanks
What I would do is clown them so much they would either bounce or swing and when they do swing hey its self defense then. lol.
Now the 20 year old no para just dawg collar gold boots and brands Vudu would be ready to kick ass period.

I definitely agree with ya’ll. At this point in my life, outside of self-defense, there is probably nothing that could cause me to get violent and want to fight over my letters. Too much to lose and the thought of explaining an assault charge to my family, my employer, or even the kids I mentor is just crazy.
I won’t lie though – Seeing or catching a perp in my letters would probably get me heated. But again, at my age, I would be more inclined to talk him out of the letters as opposed to putting him down over them.

However, if you put your hands on me, it now has become "A Serious Matter!"

I'm not fighting either, has to do with age and what I stand to loose, etc. But like '91 said, that doesn't mean I won't pass the word along to sorors who will. Ever org. has a group of folks that are members of the "wrecking crew". Just pass the word along to that group.

I wouldn't fight over some letters because I'm a grown a__ woman. Now....if you touch me, this ain't about my letters anymore this is about you hitting me and that's personal.

I'd never fight for the name or respect of OES. Me kicking your ass probably wouldn't stop u from disrespecting my beloved org. I am a wordsmith tho...I love playing mind games with ppl so I'd find a way to scare the shit out of you without laying a finger on you.
With that said, I will, at any time, kick some serious ass FOR one of my SiSTARs. After proper, but quick, evaluation of the situation hell yea lets get it. But simply because you are being "disrespectful"....naw.
I'd argue that Masons and Eastern Stars are disrespected more than D9 Greeks though. So I seriously doubt any of us would fight over some mess like that seeing as how we should be used to ppl not understanding who we are and what we do.
