The Definition of E-Sisterhood
I think of a sisterhood as an ideal we strive for but a concept that can evolve over time. Initially, sisterhood is about understanding your e-line sisters and understanding their strengths and weaknesses. You can pick up the slack where someone else may be lacking but sisterhood starts when you decide to think and care about the feelings of someone you don't know. Sisterhood is then cultivated by the exchange between E-Big Sisters and the rest of the line. The bonding that occurs is really a psychological response to the line of thought of disdain for a common enemy. The line then bonds as a response to the "common enemy" and the need to protect each other from e-harm.
Sisterhood is loyalty and trust. It is being able to laugh at yourself and have everyone else laugh with you and not at you. Sisterhood is picking up the slack with no complaints because you know that when the time comes, they will also pick up when needed. Sisterhood is about looking at your e-line sister and for better or worse seeing yourself. Sisterhood is about learning from and about the people around you.

Why the Rules are important
