we haven't discussed a lot of what's been going on in the past couple of months in the rap game... SO speak on it
What do you think of Kanye's New single POWER?
Has anyone listened to the leak of Drake's Album.. if so what do you think? Was it worth all the hype?
Eminem just dropped yesterday? thoughts?
Rick Ross mixtape is pretty hot in my opinon.. Have you heard it .. what do you think..

I'm actually listening to Little Brother's recent cd now... It isn't better than their old stuff but its def fresh... HUGE Phonte fan...
Sidenote: Foreign Exchange New Album comes out Oct/12 ..

Kanye's single POWER is okay but I guess it'll grow on me in time as does half of his music.
Drake... I'm currently Draked out at the moment but his mixtape is hotter than that thang! Best of the year so far!
Em & Ross, I'm sleepin on them at the moment but they are on my MUST DOWNLOAD list for the weekend.

Even though that Drake song "Find Your Love" was written by Kanye, I actually like it. I know they are going to play it to DEATH on the radio.
I like Kanye's last album.... hopefully he will take it to the next level.

Drake's Album is pretty cool. I get tired of his flow though. Never changes up..Not sure if I like the album more than his mixtape. I've been playing Em's new Album all week. The song "Seduction" is on point! Anyone listen to Reflection Eternals new album?

I’m not too wild about the “Power” single from Kanye. It’s okay but I am expecting much more from his album
I downloaded the Drake album. I think it’s solid for what it is, but it feels too overly melodramatic and boring in some spots. Cool album, but in terms of rookies, I’m really waiting for my dude J. Cole to drop.
I downloaded Eminem’s album as well. I’m only one spin in on the album, but I think it’s real dope. Hard beats for the most part, and Em tamed down to “jokey” content and added a little more depth to the album. As a pure lyricist, I’ve always thought Eminem was phenomenal and he doesn’t disappoint on this. The flow, rhyme schemes, multi’s, etc, are all absurd. Dope album.
Ricky Ross mixtape is that knock too. I’m banging that “MC Hammer” joint like a madman. “Deeper Than Rap” made me a Ross fan and I’m looking forward to the “Teflon Don”. I don’t care if dude was a C.O or full blown Police officer…the dude makes good music to ride too. I’m a fan with no shame.
I’ve also been banging that Nas/Damien Marley album, “Distant Relatives” and that new Reflection Eternal album “Revolutions Per Minute”. Looking forward to the new albums from Game and The Roots as well . Later on, you got Joe Budden and Lupe Fiasco cd’s coming out too.
Gonna be a pretty good summer for hip hop.

I've been listening to Drake and LB mainly lately. Haven't been much of an Em fan since the Marshall Mathers LP. Looking forward to TI's album as well.
And yes Reign, I will be watching for that Foreign Exchange.

I have downloaded Em but have yet to take a listen....
Drake CD's is good the first 4 listens were probably the best, I agree it does get boring after a while..
Rick Ross mixtape is so dope.. MC HAMMER and 300 Soldiers are my fav joints...
Being a BIG Yeezy fan I freaking love Power.. There is no "its aight" in it... Its like the soundtrack to my life right now...
@alc.. I told Phonte on twitter that he needs to make a Valediciton 2 on the next album.. .. he replied and said he will see what he can do... I hope he answers my prayers..

And yes Reign, I will be watching for that Foreign Exchange. You may want to give the new Em a try just for the production change. I'm a Dr. Dre Fan, but he needed a new sound to keep him fresh. This is definitely not the usual Em cd. |

T.I.'s "fuck A Mixtape" is pretty decent too. I have that Rick Ross in the cd changer too. Money Maker and Wite Sand are on point!

To be honest I don't think I'm listening to anything that came out in 2010. I have all old stuff. Maybe I need to catch up. I wished Cannibal Ox would make a new CD. Killah Priest is working on the Psychic World of Walter Reed. That should be dope.
