CONYERS, Ga. - Police in Conyers say they’ve arrested the twin 16-year-old daughters of a woman who was found stabbed to death in her home in January, and they say the girls have been charged with her murder.
Investigators say J armecca “Nikki” Whitehead, 34, was found dead in her home on Appaloosa Way in Conyers on January 13, 2010. No one had been charged in the case until Friday, when Whitehead’s two daughters Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah Whitehead, both 16 years old, were arrested.
Police say the girls will be charged as adults, and both have been charged with murder.
According to investigators, the arrests were made after evidence found at the crime scene was processed by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and it linked the two girls to the murder of their mother.
Whitehead’s body was found by her two daughters after they returned home from school, investigators said previously.
Police say a number of agencies including the Conyers Police Department, Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office, Rockdale County District Attorney’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation assisted in the investigation.

Wow, did killing parents become a trend? What is wrong with kids now a days. I would love to follow this case and get more in depth detail about why and how this went down. They thought they were slick by "founding her" when they came home from school. I hope they get life along with taking psychiatric classes. I just don't understand why this had to go down.

From the interview their grandmother gave. The kids fought the mother before and she had them taken away for a while. Their dad is in Jamacia and offered to take them but the mom thought it was best if they came back and stayed with her again.

SD- I did not know that Gary Coleman had sued his parents. But then again, I think I did hear about that on one of those E channel shows when they was analyzing his life.
Wow, the fight did take place before and she had them taken away, I think she should have sent them away to their father. They would have def got the biz down there. But then again, The mother was just trying to do what was best for her daughters. Them heffas should not have snapped!

Anyway, yea Gary Coleman sued his parents in the late 80's or 90's because he claimed to have all this $$ but didn't have nothing to show for it or none stacked in the bank. Apparently, his parents invested it in some bad stocks which caused him to loose the majority of it. Something about his death is fishy if you ask me....
