This is a topic that has been kicked around in conscious circles for sometime. We all know how the story goes. Massive slave ships embarked on 3 month journey's from Africa to the America's with ancestors packed in the belly of ships like sardines. Little to no food or water nor sanitation. Is it possible to transport millions of humans successfully under these conditions?
Is it possible that millions of Africans were already living in North and South America for thousands of years before slavery and were/are the bulk of prisoners used unjustly for 500 years of forced servitude?
Your thoughts?

Interesting premise. I'm not as read on this to make an intelligent comment although I have read, in several places, that Africans had been in the America's for centuries if not millenia before it was "discovered" by Europeans.
Suggested reading?

Suggested reading? Cam you're probably more read on this than you think. Lets throw out some names that I know you are aware of. Ivan Van Sertima, Chancellor Williams, Dr. Ben Jochannan, and Ishakamusa Barashango. My thing is this. Yes I do believe there were a multitude of Africans flourishing on both North and South American land masses. The thing I disagree with is the Lemuria claims and that these Africans didn't come from the motherland but instead are natives here. Now this is something that has been pushed forth by the so-called "Moors". It seems it is yet but another attempt at taking a truth and twisting it to fit an agenda. Personally I would think even today it would be a tall task to transport that many people under those conditions and be successful. I'm certain some shipping did take place but its more of a possibility that most of our ancestors were already here.

I've read all of those authors except (and I may just not remember) Ishakamusa Barashango. I read a lot of Dr. Ben back in college.

Is it a possibility that the disappearing native Americans never disappeared at all. That some amongst us are them in the flesh?

I imagine it is possible. Africans and people of African descent have been found to have lived in continents all over the world prior to the slave trade.
That might be something worth researching. I know some of my college professors whom I just might speak with about this subject.

I know some of my college professors whom I just might speak with about this subject. I think it should. It would shed light on alot of things. Like for instance... There was African grade cotton growing in North America before slavery. Only way it could have gotten here was by Human hands. Same thing with the calabash. We can look at the Xi (Olmecs) as well.

I was about to mention the Olmecs.
Honestly I don't think there were "africans" as much as there were prehistoric indigenous. I beleive the overwhelming majority of Africans in the Americas that sprung up during colonial times were either slaves or indentured servants from Africa.
They were not from a group of people that flourished in the Americas.
This is based on my conclusions from both Afro-studies research and general archaeological information I have come across through out time.
Although I am open to hearing and reading recent opposing information.

Well there is archeological evidence of Africans in California, Mississippi, Louisiana, Illinois, Florida, Mexico, Brazil, Columbia etc. The evidence is there. Furthermore you have cocaine and American grade tobacco found in Kemet amongst some pharaoh's sarcophagus. I'll post books later

The continents were all one big land mass, so the possibility of people of African descent being in every continent certainly makes sense to me.

Actually, APIL makes a great point. It is said that at one point all the lands on the earth were connected. If you take a look at the shapes of the 7 contients, you can see how each one fits together like a puzzle. Can't remember what class I learned this in, but APIL is on to something.
