The lovely ladies of Omega Omicron E-Sorority, Inc. celebrate Earth Day 2010!
Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment… and OO is here to answer the e-call. Join us as we make our e-world more clean, serene and powder bluetiful!
Teaching children about the environment is an important part of their education. Remember that they are always watching and emulating their parents and the adults around them. What you do today will be imitated by the children of tomorrow. As a result, we’re using Earth Day to each our e-youth how to practice environmentally-friendly behaviors.
Omega Omicron, the staff and children of Hazerville Elementary e-School, will work together to improve the campus by picking up trash, bottles, aluminum cans, food wrappers and litter, and setting up a recycling station.
We’ll also help e-students plant a vegetable and herb garden to promote healthy living and a sense of pride. Produce will be used in the school’s e-meal program. Trees will be planted around the buildings to provide shade, improve air quality and create habitats for wildlife.
The day will also include games, music, crafts and fun activities to keep the children engaged. Goodie bags full of greening tips and resources, as well as coloring books, games and recycled products will be distributed to all participants. Lunch and an assortment of healthy snacks will be provided.
We can make a difference! Please join us as we e-work to reduce our carbon footprint, e-save planet Earth and e-create a better world for future for generations.
The program kicks off at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2010. This e-event is open to the e-public… all are e-invited and welcome to participate.

*Sapphy convenes the group to make a quick announcement*
Good Morning!
*kids reply, Good Morning!*
On behalf of Omega Omicron E-Sorority, Inc., welcome to our Earth Day celebration! Thank you all for coming out to support a great cause. This is very important. Our planet is hurting because some times we don't treat it as good as we should. We throw away paper, chemicals, garbage *kids yell out yuck* and we don't recycle as much as we should. But we all know that it’s our job to take care of the planet to make sure that it’s hear for years and years to come. And some times it’s hard. It Ain’t Easy Being Green.
*kids giggle*
Oh you’ve heard that before, huh? *looks confused* Who says that? I wonder…
*kids yell out, Sesame Street, Sesame Street! Tiasha raises her hand and says “that’s Kermit the frog” and smiles*
You know what you’re right… Kermit does say that. And nobody says it better, right? *kids yell right* So we have a very special guest with us today.
Sapphy points, the kid’s eyes follow and Search pops out from aroudn the corner wearing a Kermit the Frog costume comes out and tells the kids how important it is to be green… even if it ain’t easy. The kids cheer, hug Kermie and take pictures. Other DMO e-bruhs come out dressed as Sesame Street characters and greet the kids.
*Juicy gets everyone ready*
Okay everyone, it’s time to get started! Say thank you to your Sesame Street Friends. *The kids yell and wave goodbye*
We appreciate them stopping by. *Lizzy winks and grabs the e-booty of random dudes figuring she has a 95% chance of it being one of her many e-men. Sapphy mean mugs her to get her back on track*
*Juicy continues* We’re going to have a great day. But we’re going to work hard, work as a team, learn, share and have fun too… and together we are going to help to save the planet! *kids cheer.*
Everyone has been divided into groups *e-sorors start lining up with different color shirts that match groups of 10 to 15 kids wearing the same color.* Please follow your team leaders and they will take you to your first activity.
Thank you. Okay one, two, three *points to the sign and everyone yells “it ain’t easy being green” and they run off to start the day's activities*

*but why AREN'T they active? What's up with that?* *they are just choosing not to be. We've giving them ample e-events to attend, make their presence know, and not one has shown. Nor do they do stuff on their own like e-meeting, etc. They are e-inactive.*
