The information below was forwarded to me in an email:Your fellow Greeks on BET's Mo'Nique Show Tonight (Friday Feb. 19th) at 11 PM EST / 10 CST Photo courtesy of Glenn A. Loveless III Tonight marks a historical event with the members of NPHC nationally televised on BET's Mo'nique Show. The theme of the show was “Unity”. The audience was comprised of all 9 organizations, both Graduates and Undergraduates. The National Presidents in attendance were: Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Grand Basileus and Council of Presidents Chairman Warren G. Lee, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity General President Herman “Skip” Mason, Jr., Iota Phi Theta Fraternity International Grand Polaris Karl Price, Esq., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority International Grand Basileus Sheryl P. Underwood, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority International Grand Basileus Joann G. Loveless, and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity International President Jimmy Hammock. South Atlantic Region Director Ella Springs Jones represented Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority International President Barbara A. McKinzie. National Secretary Beverly Smith represented Delta Sigma Theta Sorority National President Cynthia M.A. Butler McIntyre. Executive Director Richard Snow represented Kappa Alpha Psi Grand Polemarch Dwayne M. Murray, Esq. Performing artists The Whispers, Tracy Crews and his wife Rebecca (BET’s upcoming reality series ‘The Family Crews’), and Zeta Phi Beta International Grand Basileus Sheryl Underwood were guests on the show. I would be impressed by this gathering if I knew that they would be discussing some of our current issues. With the "privacy" factor, I'm sure that's not going to happen. It looks good though.

I don't watch TV (and most ESPECIALLY not BET), so I wouldn't have seen it anyway, but why were they even doing this? Like, don't we ALL have bigger fish to fry right now?

I caught that...I thought Sheryl would've said something. lol If anything was stated, it was done privately. she kinda did, on the sly... she kept it professional though, when Mo held up the sign and asked her was this it, she was like "well, when you become a member of one of our organizations, then you can...." yada yada yada |

I agree, Sheryl handled the Mo sign moment well. Would love to know what happened during the break.

I peeped this last week. I thought Sheryl represented herself and Org well on that platform. I also peeped Monique pushing her to come out of her Presidential shell so to speak and bring out more of her comedian side...She stayed focused though.
Decent segment and it seemed like a nice gathering for the cause though...

Would love to know what happened during the break. On Monday, February 15th, we had AKA Day at the Georgia Capitol. Here, our South Atlantic Regional Director made the announcement that she would be filling for our National President because she had been snowed in Washington D.C. They taped the episode on that Thursday! I was surprised of the quick turn around, because Soror Springs did not know the air date. |

Ok, I am confused. How was this Greek Unity, when you only had one member of a Greek Organization on the stage and the other Presidents/Representatives in the audience? I was expecting a panel discussion with all 9 orgs...well ok. Zphi!  |

I'm guessing all the presidents were under that assumption! ;D It was what it was! I am a big fan of Ms. Underwood, and she did great. I even have her autograph from years ago! |
