I've written several and to date, only one is suspect but he is still active. Two are deceased and one (despite his daddy being in the chapter) hasn't been to a meeting in a while.
All in all, I would stand by any of them though...even to this day.

We recently went to a rule where letter of rec must come from within the applicant's chapter. Our RD will shoot that down (can't do anything to keep a Delta line under 100, y'know  ). If we can swing it, at least the chapter will be able to form some opinion about the recommender as we should know who they are. |

For Alpha, 2 of the letters have to come from within the chapter. The final letter can be from any financial member.

Well, I wish Alpha would post the names, chapters and offenses of brothers who have been suspended and/or expelled on our website.

LOL. I have to say, I wouldnt be a Delta today if I had to get a letter from the the chapter I crossed at... BUT, on the other hand, the chapter wasnt "active" at the time.. no members were on campus...

In my 10 years, I've only written 1. That says alot. Only reason I wrote that one, I actually lived with the person at one point and you really get to know a person well when you are roommates.

In this particular situation she requested letters in three different cities. I think it was a situation where she and/or the daughter simply didn't have someone to write the letter. |
