I thought he did a great job. He was upbeat but didn't sugar coat everything cuz lawd knows we got problems. I liked how he said we have to work together and ended on an upbeat note (although I fizzled out at the end)

I liked his like about just saying "No" to everything may be good politics but it's not leadership!
I was like.....yeah, he said that.

I liked his like about just saying "No" to everything may be good politics but it's not leadership! I was like.....yeah, he said that. Fav line (and most truthful) of entire address. The fact that he got to look them straight in the eye and say it made it much more poignant. Overall good speech... He hit on a lot of what the people wanted to hear. I didn't hear the pundits weigh in on what he said but I think jobs and the economy is where his focus should be. Troops pulling out of Iraq.... I will believe it when I see it...

It would make sense...just before election.
Then you create tax cuts and loan guarantees for small businesses and DARE the Republicans to not pass it....again, just before the elections....
