Whitney had a 13 carat ring with a 5 carat stone (worth about a million total) 3. Anything over 4.7 carats begins to appreciate due to rarity of the uncut stone. Also, above 5 carats, color is implied. A stone that size tends to visibly pick up the impurities from the surrounding non-organic ore. Yellow, Blue, and Pink all have their respective price ranges with blue being most expensive. I think Sotheby's sold a 6 carat for 8 or 9 MM in late 2007. Google it and let me know. A colorless 7 carat is the rarest of all. So on top of the size premium, you have the color premium. If Reign e-busted his ass --which is a safe assumption since he e-learned a whole other language--then you e-have a stone valued well into the 8 figure range. So up your e-wedding budget game. Oh, and nice try. Consider yourself corrected. |
