What if at the end of time you found out everything you were taught and believed was wrong....
and get this....someone else's group that you were basing left and right....was actually correct.
Wouldn't that be some ish?
Like, can you even let your mind go there?
Have you ever thought about it?
Serious question.

My old Sunday School teacher used to pose this question. If I'm wrong, then such is life.

And who's to say I'm wrong? I can turn it around and tell them they are wrong.

And who's to say I'm wrong? I can turn it around and tell them they are wrong. God, I guess. Like...if @ the end of time, God was like "say, fam...you been servin me wrong all this time" I guess you have no choice but to say..."ok then. My bad" LOL

That is why we each have to know God for ourselves and not rely on what people say or what we have always been taught. I aim to have an active prayer life, one involving talking AND LISTENING to God. God is not "willing that any should perish", so when I seek Him and He directs me, I know He won't lead me wrong. For me, it's about trusting God and not leaning to my own understanding. It' s so important to know His voice.

My old Sunday School teacher used to pose this question. If I'm wrong, then such is life. No Peppermint! Don't hurt my heart like this. This is so serious. It involves eternity. We each have to do all we can to be very sure. For me, it meant walking away from a place where I wasn't receiving what I needed to grow spiritually and forsaking generations of tradition.

Dasani summed it up. My beliefs are my beliefs. I'm not worried about being "wrong." The Bible says XYZ and I believe the Bible is infalliable. If I die and find out that the Qu'ran was right, it's too late to worry about it then. Real talk, the Bible says the consequences of sin is death. Well if you think about it, most sins will lead to death in the natural. Someone could very well take the spirituality and religion out of the Bible and use it as a guide to healthy living.

I guess in the same way you believe the Bible is infallible, I believe it to the point that I choose not to even consider the possibility that it is wrong. I used to think about it, but, once I made my decision, I no longer entertain the thought. And, I agree about the Bible being a guide to healthy living.

What if you woke up and everything was a dream? Like nothing you experienced happened it was just a figment of your imagination. Would you allow them to sedate you again so you could continue your fantasy?

Applying this question to secular issues first, I would say at least I lived my life based on what I thought was correct. Not much regrets there...it sucks however if you were making decisions riddled with doubts and was ultimately dead wrong...ugh...infuriating!
The same principal would apply with my choice in religion. I chose it because I think its the best decision according to the Word of God. If I was wrong then as disappointing as it may be, I would be ok . Errors are made all the time. God is not coming for the catholics alone or the jews alone...So I still have a chance even in my wrongness!

I dunno and honestly I am getting to the point where I don't care. lol Real talk--I just wanna know my purpose or have it confirmed. I want to work at it and let it be that. I can not worry about what's truly out there, what has not be revealed...nor what is to be revealed. I am suspended in time. I am right where I supposed to be whether it is fake or real, or something in between. At the core for me it's all about purpose. It's about understanding that ultimate control does not exist and destiny is what's real. Although I believe I can choose which path I take...my experiences along the way are bound by my ultimate destiny. I am comfortable with that. If in the end I am wrong. I will be devastated...but in knowing that where every my journey may land me it's my ultimate destiny anyhow...I will know that I am right on track with time. Plus, God has never failed me yet...therefore I can not suspect He will do so at any other point in time, either. But wouldn't you have to know the intent of existence to understand your purpose of existing?

No, I don't think so. I think all I would need to know is my purpose. There are clues all around me that guide me along the way. Also, you have to be intune with the voice of God and seek confirmation. That's how I see it. So what if your purpose is to be a slave with no reward? Just keep this existence viable and then die. Nothing more. You cool with that?
