The bill has passed. We are moving forward with Healthcare Reform whether wing nuts (who will almost certainly be some of the first in line to take advantage of the reform) like it or not. With the bill having officially moved through the panel, deliberations will migrate to the Capitol, where Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will huddle with Senate leaders to merge the finance bill with a more generous version from the health committee which passed earlier this yearwww.huffingtonpost.com/2009/10/13/final-senate-panel-approv_n_318921.html

Even with no public option, it's further than we'ev gotten before. Let's see how deep the rabbit hole goes. Does anyone else foresee yet another doubling of the insurance lobbyists coming?

And in all likelihood there's going to be a public option. The Senate Finance version didn't include one but the other bills, with which it will be merged, do have them.
The healthcare industry shot itself in the foot recently trying scare tactics - saying that if this bill went into effect - that premiums would sky-rocket...
...of course that just makes the case for a public option even stronger - to control those premiums.

yeah, I found this out yesterday. Also found out that the New York Times is reporting that speical interests are spending $1.4 million every day to kill reform. The insurance companies are also spending $1million on misleading ad to scare seniors out of supporting the reform. (all this info comes form Micth Stewart who is the director for Organizaing for America).
Shame at how much money they are spending, and the money they spent to try and curve the findings, which soon came out that it was fradulent.
