Any template statements that should be made?
Is it better to say its not the opportunity for you?
Tell them the salary is too low?
Say you got a better offer?
Please help! Thanks!

Just keep it simple and say that "after careful consideration, you have decided not to accept the offer".

Thanks Brn!
I dunno why I feel so bad about it. Jobs string you along with 3-4 interviews all the time and have no problem telling you NO!
<-- must (wo)man up for the call

No problem. Don't sweat it, it happens all the time.

Just goggle "sample decline job offer letters." That's where ALL my job letters come from. Don't ever want to burn bridges so I put bits and pieces together from various letters to come up with my simple but yet Masterpieces. By the time I'm done they'd wish I'd accepted, stayed or gave me more money -LoL. It's not what you say, it's how you say it. REAL TALK!!

Mocha. I've done that before, and your right, I was on the phone with the lady for a good minute as she tried to get me to change my mind.
I did not get elaborate this time, kept it simple like Brn said.

Y'all turnin' down jobs? I have been job searching since December 2007, have applied for nearly 40 jobs, only had TWO interviews...and my Black ass is STILL working at the same place! Anyway, I'd just send a basic letter saying that I have declined to accept the offer. I do like Mocha D says all the time...you can find all kinds of templates online. Just Google something like "cover letters".

Just keep it simple and say that "after careful consideration, you have decided not to accept the offer". This is what I would do. I doont think a formal (written) notification is needed.
