We are told to walk and talk the ways of our identity
However its more often we're walking up and down hallways and storeways selecting our identity from the shelves.
The commercial plays:
"Come and get it
Its the new rage
Forget the days you were an individual
Let me count the ways, that in just a few days your morality, sanity and loyalty can be broken down as we make, shape and break you into a new identity of 2009"
Isn't it DIVINE?! I can lose every aspect of my mind!
Have my mentality compressed leaving me within the borders of which you've MADE me confine
I'll never question the off brand of which you label me
Instead i'll point fingers at those who differ from me
See i have been brain washed to believe that my off brand is the brand to be.
That my poorly detailed label gives me the groundwork to contain any contents of nonsense i wish to obtain
So as I stand on the shelf of the bargain bin with other poorly processed products
Foolish to believe that quantity is synonymous with quality
Because see i've allowed my processing to grant me my identity
But see them over there?
They refuse my brand of savagery
fuckery, of all sorts, I casts stones in shapes of boomerangs
hit back, now i'm the mockery
Because with every battle I loosen my own label
I'm highly unstable w/o the adhesive bonds of which holds together my identity.
Neglecting to see...that label or not, I'm still only a level of mediocrity
But i'll keep strolling and hope you never see..that my off brand label has become a reflection of me.
