Who are some artists that you simply can't stand? Or particular songs you HATE...For example, you're in your ride, the artist or song comes on and you immediately HAVE to change the dial? My "can't stand to listen to" list includes: - Fat Joe
- Keisha Cole
- Mariah Carey

I typically do the morning shows, but the radio in general would make anyone hate dislike a song. Every station run a lot of songs into the ground. Some songs get entirely too much airplay and I don't know about you but it instantly makes me hate dislike a song quick!! Thank GOD for Ipod's and CD's.

I have sattelite radio with the variety of stations, I get a chance to hear pretty good music on the radio...I am not a loyal to certain artists type person so I rarely buy CDs but if it is a good song, I'll listen regardless who sings it...

I think the R&B of today just plain SUX and I HATE IT!!!!!!! People say it's because I'm getting older, but that's not it. The music has changed. For example, I made a post about Tracie Spencer a few days ago. She was only 12 when she came out, and made another album when she was 14--but her music was EXCELLENT. It STILL stands the test of time. The songs were well-written, the music was pretty and well-arranged, and the videos looked like art.
Nowadays, all three of those things--lyrics, music and videos--are HORRIBLE. The music just seems simple and repetitive, the lyrics are dumb, and the videos are anywhere from mediocre to disgraceful.
Meanwhile, the few artists that DO come out don't get any play. For example, anyone remember Rhiann Benson? She was good, and she had ONE song, and then she disappeared. I had actually forgotten about her until I heard her song on the radio last month. Grenique? Jaguar Wright? Donnie? Dwelle?

<---Never heard of Rhiann Benson <---Never heard of Grenique <---Taking notes
Got anymore known unknowns? I really can appreciate good R&B. And I agree, me, this cashier and some lady in line were speaking on a lot of good artist that don't get the airplay they deserve and have EXCELLENT CD's (more than 3 great tracks on their album) like Jill Scott, Eric Roberson, Ledisi, Amel Lareaux, etc. The "Neo Soulers." Just hurts my lil' heart but I commend them for not conforming to "industry standards" and staying true to the art and individualism they possess.

My dad called me at work and told me he was just approved to get his student loans forgiven as part of a hardship program. LOL He is retired and hardly hardshipped but he worked the system to the tune of them writing off 48K in student loans. LMAO :smh:

Mocha D, if I think of anymore, I'll post them. They just randomly pop into my head sometimes, or I'll hear their song and think, "Whatever happened to HER/HIM? (s)he had that one song that was really good, and I never saw them again".

It's the worst time ever for music...satellite radio and cd's/ipod are the only way to avoid hearing that ringtone crap they play on the radio.
