www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28086325/The first Vietnamese-American elected to Congress took advantage of dissatisfaction with a longtime incumbent, William Jefferson (D-LA), dogged by corruption allegations and reflects the changing nature of New Orleans politics since Hurricane Katrina. Republican immigration attorney Anh "Joseph" Cao defeated Democratic Jefferson on Saturday in an election postponed for a month by Hurricane Gustav. The victory for a 41-year-old child of Vietnam War refugees was greeted with amazement and drew parallels to last year's election of Gov. Bobby Jindal, an Indian-American Republican. I just find it interesting that the face of Republicans in certain areas is changing from WASP men to...minority men. I still don't like most of their idealogies, but it's interesting. Like republicans are trying to gain ground in the other minority groups outside black Americans and latinos.

It is still the party for the White Men suffering from a vastly unwarranted victim's mentality.

I agree with Damie....it's a show. Their party is drowning as the population of the U.S. starts to brown. They realize this and are taking drastic measures to try and make their organization SEEM more diverse.

Oh yes, indeed...but all you need is a few charismatic puppets to sway and gather the sheep. I really wonder what the 2012 ticket will look like.
