Ok...I'm looking for an SUV. Anyone have a good recommendation? I need one mid-size to large, and gets as good gas mileage as it can.
Looking at new, but prefer pre-owned. So run your list of your favorite SUVs from the past 2-3 years.
From experience or extended research, not just your dream vehicle.

Wife traded 04 Explorer for 05 RX 330. The Lexus is better in every imaginable way. The Explorer drove and handled like a school bus, while since the RX 330 is built on a car frame, it handles close to a car. Plus the leather, plastics and wood are much higher grade than the Ford. The Ford did have a third row, but we never used it.

Thanks...those are 2 that I've considered. I'd appreciate more recommendations.

I have a Honda Element. I love it. It's not really a car or an SUV. I call it an ATV!! But it's gets great mileage, has 4wd and handles well in the snow.

I think I would consider the pilot. The element doesn't have enough cargo space for me.

Yes it does!! Even with the seats not folded down. My husband is 6'5 and fits comfortably in the back seat. You really have to check it out! It has major space. Most people don't realize it.

Yes it does!! That's what I'm telling you. It has much more cargo space than the Pilot. We go on a trip every Easter and we take clothes for a week for two people, food for the entire week, laptops, dvd adn games systems plucs much more. And can still put a 5 years old in the back. And that's without dropping the seats!

Ok...I've actually tried to load some of the cargo that I would need in the car. Didn't work
I also, for some reason, just don't like the look of the element.
You're campaignin' like a champ though.

LOL!! I love it. You won't get much more out of the Pilot. I looked at that one first! The crazy look of the Element is what sold me. Try the CRV.
