Are we all going to pick up and move back to OO if and when it comes back on line? I mean if we get comfortable here - and it's below the radar - why would any of us leave?

That's a good question Damie...I guess I may go back due to a certain level of loyalty, but I feel like another huge prolonged crash would really mess with my feelings and I might just count my losses and stay here permanently....

I was thinking the same thing. Besides... all the people I wanted to talk to are here already. Why leave? I'm not suggesting that we gotta stay here... I'm just looking for a rationale why I would. It's almost like moving in IRL. You can only do it so many times before you just throw up your hands and say, "forget it, I'll just stay here"

I think I am permanently skeptical of OO and would be ruluctant to go back initially...now maybe once it's back up consistently for a minute, I'd consider it... but I really like this board...Thanks again GNG

I don't think OO is coming back, and even if it does, I don't see a reason to go back. I like this board better and I definitely like how GnG does things.

OO is gone the way of the AMC Pacer and Gremlin...and the Ford Pinto. I'm at home. I'm stayin' here. Let all them "lurkers" have that old site. At least the way GnG has it set up here, those lepers won't get past the border.  |

The thing is...as much as we hate some of the newbies and alters, they are what keeps a message board going. I like it here for now but there is no potential for new members here...If people begin to fall off (work, family, drama, illness, etc.) there's no new blood around to take the slack...we were all newbies once, we all added something that OO didn't have before we came. I am afraid that what discerning is saying is true. Those alters/aspirants/fools kept OO JUMPING. Those people were funny! And that is a large part of what makes a message board lively. |
