Why do people insist on taking 100 items through the self-checkout? To make things worse, they always try to buy something stupid that they KNOW they can't ring up, either out of privelege or incompetence (produce, cigarettes, guns, etc). TAKE YO' PUNK AZZ TO THE CASHIER!!

I just wish our Wal-Mart would open more than 6 lanes in a 20+ lane store on PAYDAY FRIDAY!!!
AND it would be a miracle if one of the sel-checkout lanes WORKED!!!

yeah, they have like 40 lanes and only 3 will be open. and then when you find a self checkout that is open, it's "CASH ONLY"

I do not visit Walmart very often, but I have experienced these horror stories at Jewels. Its suppose to be an express lane, but people will bring a month's worth of groceries to the self-checkout. Then, they want to ring up alcohol, and you know that will require assistance from the cashier. I just stop using this service, because I feel that the cashier's should do this job. Its not like we get a discount for ringing up our own groceries.

Cub foods and Food 4 Less were like that, where it was cheaper because you bagged your own stuff.
Aldi is cheaper too, because you rent shopping carts and buy bags if you need to, and they only have one cashier, but it's never crowded.
I shop at Target on an item by item basis (depending on what I'm buying)

The only reason I go to Wal-Mart is cause it's closer to where I live and the Target stores are in the high-traffic places that I like to avoid.
There are like 5 Wal-Marts here and only two Target stores.

No I hate when the person in front of me don't know how to use the darn thing...if you read the screen and listen to the prompts it will tell you what to do. The thing says "which method of payment?" the man yells at the screen I'm using cash...I'm like...hit the button that says cash you idiot. Oh dear god, don't get me started....

Target is more expensive that Wal MArt.
The other day these people tried to take a full length mirror thru the self check out. Now you know dayum well you have to sit that stuff on the scale, lol.
People piss me out at the self checkout all the time. They either have too many items or ring that stuff up all slow like there aren't 5 other people behind them.

I went to the self checkout late one night, with ONE item, and stood behind this lady TEN minutes while she scanned her items. Then she realized that she'd scanned some twice, so she was trying to void them, creating a bigger mess. Then the tard-on-duty comes over, helps her, then shuts the line down, saying "this wasn't even supposed to be open". WTF??

You have to watch Wal-Mart...they will try to double charge you for items.
I hate that I can go to Wal-Mart at 3am, and it still be packed.

The self-checkout struck again today: I'm behind this lady, and after she finishes paying for her items, she starts bagging her items. WHY THE HELL DIDN'T SHE BAG THEM AS SHE SCANNED? What sense does it make to scan the items, stack them up in the bagging area, only to have to scan them afterwards? I swear common sense must be prohibited at walmart

how about the people who wait until the other person is gone to start putting all 30 of their items on the belt before they even start bagging.
all I do is self checkout so I can go on for days, LOL.
The girls that tends to that area always pisses me off. all she has to do is stand there with her touch screen and her azz gets an attitude when someone needs some help and she has to leave her post. She doens't bag groceries, move buggies, ring stuff up, swipe cards, NOTHING!!

Bunny, i can tell you live in the south because you said "buggies" lol. I used that word faithfully.
The checkout Nazi that you're referring to is the worst. They are lazy as hell. And will sit there while grandma locks up the screen because she tried to insert a personal check after pressing the EBT button......
sorry, got carried away.
