Why are people so quick to say "You can tell me anything. I can take it," then, when you start to tell the TRUTH, they wanna whine about their feelings and how much you hurt them?? 
Constructive criticism is meant to help! If you have areas in your life that you need to clean up and someone is willing to waste their breath telling you, be thankful and get on your job! 
How do people expect to reach their full potential in ALL areas of their lives when they want to get all Carl Thomas at the slightest little observation??
We need to do better!

I'm in a similar situation. I don't take too kindly to it because he won't take ANY Constructive criticism himself. I kind of feel like people need to take a look in the mirror before they start giving others Constructive criticism.

I don't yell or scream, but I have been chewing the rag about some things. He insists he wants to be with me and make me happy, but dammit, listen. Please! Especially if bombs are going off left and right.
