Let's keep it real here.
Have you even been to a church where you feel that they have gotten into a routine?
10am- praise and worship team 11am- the pastor and ministers enter 1130am-the mass choir sings 12pm-the pastor prraches 1245-offering and invitation to the church and announcements 1pm-prayer and end of service
The following above was the schedule of a church I use to attend. After a while it felt like a routine. The service felt dead to me.
Have ever experience something like this or worse?

I hate to get off the subject, but dont you hate when you're in church for a long amount of time UNECESSARILY?
I know they say, "If you can stand up in the club for 4 hours, you can at church"
Well, I could, but thats because Its FUN to stand in the club...
Not only that, when its alter call time, doesnt it seem like the SAME people go up there EVERY sunday.....But they dont go on the first alter call when he FIRST ask, they wait until one person walks up there, and then they get BRAVE and decide to start a long arse line...I'm like this...PRAY FOR YOURSELF! I HATE THAT!!!!

I'm Catholic, and they're the epitome of routine. We're in there for an hour on the dot. That's why I sometimes hate going to Catholic churches...I'd rather go to a Baptist church and be excited about who I'm worshipping, not that I'm not in the Catholic church, but you know what I mean. I totally feel you on that.

I hate when the preacher starts tuning up as he is getting ready to close. I know this occurs in the C.O.G.I.C. congregations and probably in most Pentacostal denominations.
It just seems so fake. Especially when they try to "preach you happy". GTFOHWTBS!

what's wrong with routine? All things should take place "decently and by arrangement." As long as the word is refreshing, what's the problem?

I hate that man. It gets annoying! We should be allowed to leave after we've heard the word and given and offering, I dont want to stand and wait for people to repent of the sins that they KNOW they are going to do soon as they get home!

I really don't mind the Order of Service that Hyppy posted. That doesn't really bother me. But I HAVE been to Pentecostal Holiness churches where there is pretty much NO order of service, and it's even printed on the program--"Service is Subject To Change Depending on the Holy Spirit" or something like that.
I went to a church like this once. It was a "shoutin'" church, and the spirit wasn't really moving that day. The person leading the worship was basically, in my opinion, trying to "force" people to shout. I wasn't feeling it.

I feel that nothing is wrong with that order, but what I was trying to get at, if you go through that whole service and feel NOTHING!
I hate it when the preacher has the mic so close to his mouth that you can hear them breathe in and that GOSH AWFUL SOUND comes out. It's gross!

oh yeah well that is a problem. But sometimes the Holy Spirit can be like a laxative. It might not move you right then, but at some point it WILL move you, lol
