Last inflammatory remark for the day I promise (LOL - okay I'm lying but I at least think it's my last inflammatory remark)
I would die for my S.O.
unless she was a feminist.
;D ;D ;D ;D
It's all about equality - you can die just as good as me. ;D

Huh - Don't you think a feminist should be willing to die for her husband?

SCREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KPSU)(*#_)IOPEIN_)E*_)E(+)# I HATE YOU HUEY....I literally screamed...jumped up ran one way then the other and was hysterical for like two minutes. LEAVE PRISSY ALONE! I like her. I wouldn't die for my husband. That is the man's job. Plus if I took a bullet for him, what kind of life would he have? He would never be able to live it down. I really wouldn't though, I do think that is something the man is supposed to do. This is a good question, I am going to ask him about this. WTF

You know this is some food for thought. If nothing else, I've learned that this couldn't be further from the truth I take OO to be a kind of microcosm of the world we live in.

Okay I need clarification. Do you mean...someone gave us a choice: Either me on my SO has to go.....
or do you mean jumping in front of a bullet heading towards my SO to push him out the way.
If you mean the first scenario: I am assuming the person is going to kill us both, because I now become a witness to the crime. So I would kill my SO first on some ole Beloved ish. LOL

I don't have a problem with your statement because you staying alive is more important to the family based on your description and I'm guessing he would agree. Given a choice and one of you gots to go - he'd probably choose himself too.
I'm feeling some kind of way about you springing that question on him out of the blue. Let him at least read this thread first so he can have a fighting chance LOLI am going to confess to what I said and why I said it. I do wonder what he would do, like he would really tell me even if he was not going die for me.

YAY Prissy!
Prissy the way you said it was pure comedy coupled with Huey's response.
I don't think there is anything wrong with your response. It's logical.
Plus you have kids involved. Everything that both of yall decided on...even dying for one another...affects them.
Real talk.

Hard question and one you could never really answer with any certainty until placed in that position.
I probably would not die for my husband. I feel funny saying that, but my reason is identical to Prissy's. I'm better suited to raise the children and he would most like agree.
I would probably be a little hurt if he said he wouldn't die for me, but I'd understand. Dying for someone is deep. I don't think I would question his love for me based on that.

Man listen when it comes between life and death, most people's philosophies go out the window. I'm muslim but if i was ever stranded on an island dying of hunger and little piglets was running around....

I don't mind the defined male and female roles, especially since the man's role is protector.
