That's what I'm saying. Personality and other stuff may not necessarily keep someone around if he/she is not physically attracted to his/her mate anymore. So yes, the looks can keep someone around in spite of the other stuff. But then, depending on the personality flaw, the scale could tip the other direction. People will only put up with an attractive person for so long if they act like an ass. REALLY?? Wow... I'll wait for someone else to chime in. I've said my piece, LOL. |

So yes, the looks can keep someone around in spite of the other stuff. But then, depending on the personality flaw, the scale could tip the other direction. Um...that's not really logical...especially for a long term relationship. Appearance WILL change over time...that's pretty much guaranteed. And no one know just HOW it will change until it happens. Sometimes its under the invidiual's control (ie eating healthy, working out, keeping themselves well-kempt), but other times its not. Medications, illnesses, environmental factors, accidents, etc can all negatively change the way somebody looks....so do you leave someone you've been with for 15 years because they aren't attractive anymore?? That's what I'm saying. Personality and other stuff may not necessarily keep someone around if he/she is not physically attracted to his/her mate anymore. So yes, the looks can keep someone around in spite of the other stuff. |

Whereas with looks - time is usually the enemy. There are VERY VERY few people who look better 30 year later. |

I'm saying that if I'm not physically attracted at all, there's no hope. If I'm not even attracted now, I can't imagine how I'll feel in 30 years when she's LESS attractive...lol. Thats all the more reason to enjoy the benefits of physical attraction while you can.

But looks are important. The way you are dressed, if you have any dirt under your nails, if your sneakers are leaning or a different color then what they originally were. Clean cut etc. But I will talk to someone who may be a 6 with a great personality then a person who is a 10 with a fucked up attitude cuz Yep is not the one

Anyhow personality HAS ALWAYS BEEN NUMBER ONE FOR ME! Some of the dudes I have messed with in the passt were not the cutest kids on the block...and of course my hating azz friends had to tell me.
