Did God only speak to people living in the Middle East? Does that not seem strange to anyone else?
The entire Old Testament happend in one small part of the world? So God just decided to disregard ALL other people of the entire globe?
Someone help me with this....please...

That told me absolutely nothing.
What I asked was...Did God only speak and give direction to those in a certain part of the world? Did God not care to save those in China? What about the Native Americans? The Incas? Did God NEVER reveal Himself to them in any form?

That's what i'm asking, water. You're saying that all the ancient religions are a result of those people having once been exposed to the knowledge of the One True God yet rejecting Him? If that is the case, did God ever re-visit them as he did several times with the profits and then at last with Jesus?
This all happened in one small part of the earth. Is is possible that God gave a different message to a different people?

first let us define who Jesus is he is God and he was walking talking and talking from the beginning Man has never known nothing but Jesus but he was not called Yahshua in the old testament . most times the theophany was called the Angel of the Lord but it was the Pre incarnate Savior.......Yahshua has done a lot so much it can not be contained in the 66 books that we call the bible but if he did go to a people like he did Sodom and Gommorah and their is a record ...it will line up with the Word that we have today in the 66 books

John 21 : 25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

So you're saying that the Bible is not an entire account of the Acts/Words of God, but just a partial account? That God did talk to people in other lands, but it isn't possible to put everything God said to everybody in the Bible?

Maybe the people of the West interpreted differently, and attributed God speaking to them to other things, like Nature and things like that. The people in the Middle East just had more of an influence on the world at that time, and that's why it was transcribed into written word by them. Maybe?? And, everything was from their vantage point, even if God did speak through them. The transference wouldn't have been perfect since we're imperfect beings...I'm just speculating  |

Why you keep saying what i am saying i am saying wat the bible is saying that the acts of Jesus if all were written down the world would not have room to contain them ....so if God speaks to you cold bring it to the table and i will bounce what you are saying that God said against the Written Word of God and if it lines up cool but if it trips like the lady of all nations then i will throw that message in the seducing spirit doctrine of devils pile. simple. If I may interject.....Water...this may be a opportunity to interject. Not everyone here is well versed in scripture so hitting them in the head with it solely will not always be the obvious answer it is to you and other biblical scholars. Think back to when you were a babe in christ. Someone had to spoon feed you a little before you were eating solid spiritual food instead of milk. Sometimes you have to put thing in laymen terms so folks can understand. That shouldn't be too big of a task since as Christians we are supposed to spread and share the word. It sounds like folks really don't know and if you have the answer spit it out and stop with the rigamarow... Just my two cents because I think you have a lot to offer but it gets lost cause folks can't/don't dicpher what you mean.

Water/Bro Phil... I think you missed the point. I wasn't saying you were a babe in Christ. I said when you answer by given solely scripture some people (who may be babes in christ or not accomplish biblical scholars) don't understand so why not just give an explicit answer. PMs are great but some people aren't going to approach you like that so why not just leave no doubt of the answer. Seems pretty simple to me. Just so I am clear. I have and will continue to profess my belief and acceptance of Christ. I've made it no secret here or on the other OO board. As far as my screen name goes there is no doubt who and what the truth is to me but it describes my journey. I'm not perfect and each day I search, seek after and strive to discover more about myself, my walk with Christ and things around me...thus the name searchingfortruth. Hope that clears things up. |
