www.people.com/people/article/0,,20171859,00.html Originally posted Sunday March 16, 2008 09:20 PM EDT Halle Berry – who only recently said, "I want to stay pregnant forever" – had a baby girl Sunday and "is doing great," her rep has confirmed. The father is Gabriel Aubry. Berry, 41, and the 32-year-old model met while shooting a Versace ad in Los Angeles in November 2005 and first stepped out publicly together three months later at the February 2006 opening of a Versace boutique in New York City. Berry first announced her pregnancy in September last year, when she was three months along. During her pregnancy, the Oscar, Emmy and Razzie winner told InStyle she felt "fantastic" thanks to eating right and keeping fit with yoga, swimming, light weights and an elliptical machine. "Right now I just have so much joy and energy," she said. "I can just go and go and go." For his part, Aubry has been reading baby manuals and parenting books.

CONGRATS HALLE!!
But seriously, Im'ma need ppl to stop having kids over 40. Janet 41 talking about she want kids...when? When she 45? They better stop the madness. I had a friend who was 21 and her mother was knocking on 70. At what point did they EVER relate? That just blows me...

I'on know, Mocha. I'm all for older folks having kids, really. My good friend's mother had her when she was knocking on 50's door--I think she was like 46--and they are THICK AS THEIVES. In fact, out of all three kids, they are the closest. She DOES act old as heyell for her age, though--when she was 24, people thought she was in her 30s because she acts so old.
Also, I don't think parents and kids really SHOULD relate. I think that's part of the problem now--parents are trying to "relate" to the kids and be their "buddy" and not their parents.

Also, I don't think parents and kids really SHOULD relate. I think that's part of the problem now--parents are trying to "relate" to the kids and be their "buddy" and not their parents. When I say 'relate' I mean able to keep up with and not be 'in the dark' and allow the 'youngin's' to "pull the wool over' their parent eyes. My mom had me when she was 25 and had my youngest sister when she was 36 and to be honest, my mother is tired and don't have as much "spunk" as she did when I was growing up. The raring is like night and day between me and my sibling. They get away with ish I couldn't fathom and it amazes me they still have teeth. When I confront my mother about it, she give me some crap about not allowing her blood pressure to go up. I'm with Diva, ain't nothing coming thru my womb that is required to have a SS# after 35 -no sir'ree Tyrone...
